Do we find out tomorrow or Tuesdayย

I think tomorrow. Sounds like her team has several plans for Monday to avoid a potentially awkward Philly rally if she doesn't choose Shapiro. So they'll probably go that route no matter who it is....

ย

But imagine the nightmare if we go all of tomorrow without hearing a name meaning the Tuesday reveal is happening. That would definitely make me go from 90% Shapiro to 99%.

Tuesday at the latest, though we'll probably know sometime tomorrow.

Earlier someone trashed Shapiro for wanting to seek higher office so bad but yet no one trashes Beshear for literally begging to be the VP pick

๐Ÿ’€

newsflash anyone in politics dreams of going higher than the office they are in. It's not just a Shapiro thing ๐Ÿ˜‚

Another clueless ๐Ÿ‘ป๐Ÿ“ฆ post.

ย

Beshear and others (even Shapiro) campaigning for the VP pick is very different from the blatantly obvious posturing for eventually being the Dem nominee for President that Buttigieg and Shapiro have been doing for years.

I don't think Kamala will choose anyone with presidential ambitions tbh. Could be too risky come 2028. Which is a big reason why I don't think it'll be Shapiro.ย

It's definitely going to be Shapiro. I think the sooner y'all come to terms with that, the better.

ย

I think she just wants to extra 1-2% in PA, and she knows most progressives will still vote for her, even if she has a centrist Zionist super pro-Israel in the ticket. Most voters (from both parties) have been brainwashed to vote for their party no matter who.

It does make me wonder who she'll choose based on the whole "no surprises" reports. I get the case of wanting to select Shapiro over PA, but with all of this information coming out, you'd have to think that it was an indirect call-out towards Shapiro's chances.

This is why Walz would be a good choice, IMO. He doesn't give me the impression that he's gunning for the presidency anytime soon.ย

Because of the circumstances of her rise to the nomination, these next 4 years will have lots of people paying close attention to her to see if she's a weak primary opponent come 2024. She's going to need a go who won't threaten her.

I don't see anyone challenging her in 2028.ย

That it's entirely unreasonable to scold people torn over Dems helping to kill their relatives in Gaza while coddling far-right voters who try and bend the Democratic party to their will to the point of Biden supporting a far-right immigration bill or Dems like Shapiro using his governorship to appoint Republicans all throughout the state.

Not to keep it going but it's extra annoying that this dichotomy is encapsulated in the Waltz vs Shapiro reality at the moment.

ย

Look at how Walz talks about Arab American voters across the Rust Belt unsure of how they'd vote for Biden in November:

Meanwhile Yglesias is how the average centrist supporting Shapiro talks of leftists and makes it easier for people like Brie to make the argument to vote Green.
