They're having to work overtime doing damage control for to him. Kamala handled Trump's race comments beautifully. She completely brushed it off and wasn't going to give it the time of day. People forget that there's a lot more to the US than California and New York. Beshear won in a heavily conservative area, seems to have the support of everyone there, has good poll numbers, and is a great orator. He ripped JD Vance a new one, calling him an elitist and not a true Kentuckian. He's the best at attacking Vance on his own terf. That being said, polling experts may find that one of the others is more in line with Middle America voters. It all comes down to the electoral college in the end. But the action, for example, was done through executive order and shows that he is limited in what he could get done due to the composition of his state. This isn't to say he's not done enough, but to just articulate why some may view Walz's resume as longer. Beshear's actions that would woo progressives come from thinks like appointing Charles Booker to state government, outing Biden as trying to appoint an anti-abortion judge from Kentucky to a lifetime appointment on the same day that Roe v Wade was overturned, etc. 3 1

I dont think Harris will do that, but it would be fun/awful.
