Communion Posted August 3 Posted August 3 10 hours ago, Harriser said: All this Shapiro talk is getting hyperbolic. Nothing has actually happened. Yet we have an increasingly overblown bandwagon, yapping to each other seeing who can get the next most outlandish doomer take about how Shapiro brings the whole operation down single handedly. I don't mind pressuring the campaign to not pick him, but if they do, it's gonna be really frustrating to see all the disproportionate breakdowns about it being 'over' ย VP Shapiro falls firmly into the 'not ideal' category, not the 'disaster' category. In the end it is Kamala's positions that actually matter and he will fall in line with them.ย The man is not really that meaningfully different to someone like Mark Kelly but yall have convinced each other he is satanspwan. And he somehow gets framed as worse every day. Keep yourselves togetherย Ah, yes. Kamala Harris. Famously known for being a politician with clear and consistent views and positions on things like issues and policies.ย 2 1 1

Bamboo Posted August 3 Posted August 3 There's so much pushback on Shapiro right nowย ย I know I live in a lot of left wing circles but when the controversies start hitting the front page of Reddit, I know they're starting to seep into the mainstream. It would be misguided to pick him at this point.ย 1 1
justin. Posted August 3 Posted August 3 God, I don't want Kamala to give in to his demands, but we desperately need a debate. I hate him so much.

I'd give Shapiro a "D" just for the fact that he probably would help in PA but that's about it. I'd give Pete an F. He brings NOTHING.ย ย I'd give pritzker a B-, he's been relatively ok as governor of IL. Beshear an A. Mark Kelly is too anti union to fall below a D+ for me personally but I can see the arguments about him being a Cย 1

Communion Posted August 3 Posted August 3 11 minutes ago, Azulito said: Is there any reason why Walz is getting more support vs Beshear? Both would be great but I'm leaning towards Beshear tbh For progressives, probably just policy record. Walz is a liberal who had a progressive legislature that passed a bunch of legislation; Beshear is a liberal with a conservative legislature and whom only has on his resume - in terms of what progressives would like - vetos of bad legislation.ย ย I think progressives are just trying to push for what may appear as the most leftward option.ย ย I know one or two users who would say they aren't really ideologically driven themselves moved from Beshear to Walz based on their TV appearances.ย 1 1
