But if he ends up being a great mouthpiece for the campaign and overall likable on a national level I think they can overcome that

Beshear polls much better with independent than Walz and they have the same name recognition. The point is, you've convinced yourself that Walz is the best option to bring along independents, when no polling suggests that. In fact, it shows the opposite. Beshear has +8 approval among independents, while Walz has +1. Again, same name recognition. Edited August 2 by MAKSIM 1
