NausAllien Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Did people really expect Kamala to run as a progressive??? She's obviously running as fast as possible to the center because she wants to win more than anything. It's all about winning for her, it doesn't matter if she has to change her position and ditch the progressive policies she pushed only four years ago.
GraceRandolph Posted August 1 Posted August 1 The GOP should've focused on Kamala's wishy washy-ness, because this racial angle is going to backfire so hard.

There was someone interviewed recently who had known her for a long time (I can't remember who exactly) but they basically said they had always known her as a centrist and she tacked left to try and win the primary but that she's a centrist at her core.

Winning is the most important thing right now 😂 ain't nobody getting **** if Trump wins again. So yes maybe we should focus on winning the damn race first then we can all push for more progressive policies.

Buttigieg is much more progressive than Shapiro and Kelly but people will pretend he's not because he is viewed at as tanking Bernie's 2020 chances (though I'd say Warren was the bigger spoiler). Communion Posted August 2 Posted August 2 (edited) 12 minutes ago, MAKSIM said: Buttigieg is much more progressive than Shapiro and Kelly but people will pretend he's not Why does it feel like some of you only have a politick formed around.. hating what you believe progressive politics are and positioning yourself at odds with it? Buttigieg has the same views of Shapiro on foreign policy. Buttigieg's views might even be worse. One might grant Shapiro grace - that his views on Israel are simply a lifetime of Zionist indoctrination. Buttigieg has happily formed his pro-adventurism + American hegemony views out of a calculation to sit atop America as an empire. Why wouldn't people who dislike Shapiro for championing Israel dislike someone who attacked Ilhan Omar for criticizing Israel's apartheid by using his literal identity to pinkwash its crimes? "They hang people like me in Iran so it's offensive to compare Israel to Iran" has about 200,000 reasons of why it aged poorly. Edited August 2 by Communion 1 4

Blade Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Yeah clearly the cancelling or rescheduling event thing doesn't mean you're getting picked but rather you're a front runner. I wonder if Walz even had anything this weekend to cancel or if he kept it open/was already taking a break. 2
