19SLAYty9 Posted August 1 Posted August 1 I believe Fox / The Murdoch's are planning on turning on Trump. They have been giving their resident liberal, Jessica, lots of airtime and have been letting her decimate Trump without pushback 5

MTG Makes sense. She was tweeting about Kamala and knee pads a week ago and it was extremely off putting- even to the base I'm sure. They are finally learning to not give her a bigger platform. During the midterms they had her in wearing expensive fancy air brush makeup every night all over Fox News only for the results to be disappointing for them. Maybe was a wake up call. 1
Blade Posted August 1 Posted August 1 The Shapiro discourse on Twitter is so frustrating A: Kamala please don't choose Shapiro. His comments about pro-Palestine protestors and his stance on companies selling product in illegal settlements in the West Bank coupled with his bad education views and SA cover up makes him by far the worst pick. B: Hmm I wonder why you don't want Shapiro. A: I explained why B: You hate Jews A: I voted for Bernie twice. I don't even think twice about supporting someone based on ethnic background or religion I just care about policy. B: ANTISEMITE It's really giving @N.M.K. on there right now. 2 1 2

Three of them want to move the company further to the center because they 1) have genuine convictions (such as believing in climate change) and 2) because they think Murdoch's view on the world is slowly phasing out and the company will financially suffer for it eventually. One of his sons wants it to be more extreme right and his father is trying to amend the trust to only that son getting the reins. So something is definitely going to change, it's just a matter of which direction. Edited August 1 by ShouldersSideways 1
mdnazn Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Trump and his people are being purposely obtuse about Kamala's biracial heritage they know she's Black, but are crudely crafting the narrative that she only very recently started to identify as Black because it became trendy to do so essentially they want to paint her as dishonest 3 1

We'll probably see ads soon about "Who is the real Kamala Harris?" that will highlight her changing positions on issues to try and tie it into the idea that she is not who she says she is and will say anything to get votes. Ah, the good ol' "you can't trust a non-white person" argument. It will go over swimmingly! With GA on the line and GA having a large, riled-up black population, you'd think they'd be smarter than that. Kamala can quite literally win PA, MI, WI, and GA based on black turnout alone. NausAllien Posted August 1 Posted August 1 It's not a bad strategy to paint Kamala as dishonest. It's like when she back in 2019-2020 she said she wanted to BAN FRACKING, but now she says she won't ban it. Or how she might have changed her position regarding immigration, from far left to right. I just don't feel that getting into the issue of whether she's Black or not (or she openly identified as Black or Indian) is a good strategy. It's easier to attack her on the things that she said and later on contradicted herself (and there are tons of examples of this). 1 1

This is the same ol' Biden and HRC talk that really gets us nowhere. Call him a goddamn racist lol. 1 minute ago, NausAllien said: It's not a bad strategy to paint Kamala as dishonest. But you see they can't help but go the race route, because they are racists 🤷 it's why they have been using DEI to describe her. They can't just openly say the N word. Even though they would love to.
Redstreak Posted August 1 Posted August 1 Maybe it's too early, and I think Kamala is still in a position to win. But it really sucks that it feels like she's gonna run as Biden 2.0 instead of trekking out her own historic path. A beyond wasted opportunity 2 1

Stop with the "when they go low we go high" crap. As the "weird" messaging the Dems have been doing has proved. It works hitting back.

A beyond wasted opportunity If anything, she's running a worse campaign than Biden since she's working to embrace corporations more and may be angling to drop Lina Khan from the FTC. So in a lot of ways, her impact on labor will be a net negative.
