Bamboo Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I think Walz is the guy. He kind of has a little bit of all the strengths the others have - but a strong second place in all of them, so the best well rounded to me. He is from the midwest so he has strengths in MI, WI, and PA but maybe is less of a slam dunk in PA than Shapiro, who has significantly more political baggage than Walz. I think he does the 'everyday man' and likable guy vibe as well as Beshear and Kelly, but Kelly obviously probably has an advantage in AZ that Walz will lack. But I think he just has an X factor that the others don't and comes with the less "he's good BUT"s than a lot of the other options. which is why Dems will pick Shapiro 8 1 2

MAKSIM Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I hate that he is going to hammer this line for the next 3 months if he gets the VP pick. So boring. 2

It's one of the things the Dems should hit Donald on, he is always trashing America. Always. Thats a turn off for a lot of people in the middle 2
Blade Posted July 29 Posted July 29 (edited) Harris leads Trump, 47% to 46%. Her share of support is up 1 percentage point from last week and exceeds the highest level of backing we gauged for Biden (45%) in tracking that goes back to late 2022. Edited July 29 by Blade 2

I love the messaging about pushing back on the idea that America sucks and that America is not already great, as I think that plays well with a lot of the normie swing voters they want to reach, but I think his verbage here is not my favorite and he keeps using it. Maybe they have data saying people respond well to this particular wording idk. 3
