dman4life Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Not to sound too optimistic but its starting to essentially feel like Kamala's race to lose, even as the underdog. The people are TIRED of Trump and his antics. They just need something to vote for so I hope from now until the election she does everything she can to seize this moment in history.Β 3

Like she had nothing today and nothing tomorrow in her schedule π Β like I know there's a big rally Tuesday but still. Β she needs to be barn storming the swing states with multiple rallies and stops daily I mean she will be doing a lot of work behind the scenes. Going over VP options, planning policy announcements, making decisions about the convention, probably doing photoshoots and interviews for publications and tv networks that will come out at some point. Plus the good sis has to get some rest. 2 2

Vermillion Posted July 29 Posted July 29 @CommunionΒ I genuinely want her to hold firm on Lina Kahn and it'll definitely be a litmus test of sorts for me. Notice last paragraph Β Β Β 1
Vermillion Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Just want to remind everyone that the original source for famed reporter Sy Hersh's Substack report on Obama telling his camp that Kamala had approved use of the 25th Amendment on Biden was the Daily Mail, who have gone to court for made up sourcing. Not his own source - not even to verify the original source. The right keeps circulating it to use the palace intrigue to distract from how relatively well Kamala is doing now and that they didn't have a back-up plan and they have Sy Hersh to give it an air of credibility. Sadly, this seems to be Matt Taibbi 2.0. They're trying to give the impression Biden was diagnosed with something other than Covid following the NAACP event. Β Β For the record, I think if he has been diagnosed with dementia it would've been prior by months or even years but even then, ultimately, I don't think Kamala was working to get other cabinet approval - it simply came down to Biden aides showing him the internal polling of no path forward.

Vermillion Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Opinion piece attacking the credibility of the New York Post report on Obama being furious that Biden endorsed Kamala and didn't allow for a contested convention, with this Mediaite reporter claiming the Post outright made-up two of their Democratic sources and shouldn't be taken credibly in its entirety just on their screwed up timing of certain scheduling alone, in addition to citing a subsequent NYT report that Kamala had been in constant touch with Obama. I'm posting this so people know my fair play on believing certain aspects of the Post story earlier, which I still do, to be clear (not his preference for Mark Kelly, etc.). Β Maybe the Post figured they wouldn't be sued for defamation to try and reveal their sourcing anyways so they figured they can afford to do this for clicks. Β Β 1
