He could still make the needed points against Vance and has potential to improve. Plus he's the most handsome pick imo and that could move the needle slightly. He's the right combo of sweet and inoffensive. 2 2

All 3 are good governors (Waltz in particular is OUTSTANDING) and none do anything to alienate any fraction of the party. Id be less than pleased with Kelly, and downright mad with Shapiro. He'd be a giant slap in the face to a fraction of the party that was dead set on not voting for Biden but is at least giving Kamala a chance, and that fraction of the party is needed to win

Wonderland Posted July 29 Posted July 29 In a bizarre way I think the VP debate is going to be pretty crucial this cycle. It's one of the few opportunities Dems are going to have to make the election about someone other than Trump. If Vance's insane views get hashed out in front of a national audience and he doubles down on them, I think it's going to put independent voters off choosing the ticket. All the rhetoric about how Kamala would be driving the administration in 2020 is coming back to bite the Republicans now. Especially when you consider Trump will be the oldest presidential candidate in history. 1 1
