That's not how I interpret it at all.

I want her to go balls to the wall with this campaign. I saw her drop an f-bomb in an interview the other day; more of THAT energy. People are sick of political correctness

Bold times call for bold measures

Shapiro has shown he's at least willing to pivot publicly (even if it's not real) which is needed to win. We need to win and then we can push them after, plus it's not like he'd have any real power as VP. Just need a good face.

If Harris wins, her vp will be the next face of the party. Shapiro becoming vp today means he will be the nominee in 2032 and possibly beyond. If you don't like his policies now, they are not going to improve over timeย

Anyone have any clue why a lot of these polls keep showing a large shift with the Black Vote that's not realistic:rip:

ย

These polls have been all over the place with the black vote. Part of me thinks most of the "black people" they're polling aren't black.

ย

โ€ข City: Harris 59-35%
โ€ข Suburb: Harris 51-46%

ย

This is a good sign. City and suburbs are who we need. Hammer home that abortion topic!!!!!!

Umm should we worry about this?ย :rip:

This tweet goes against how her campaign is being run. Actions > Words.

I get this 100%, and maybe I'm just being short-sighted, but my eyes are on November and getting there. I am an Andy girl through-and-through, but if it's Shapiro then it's Shapiro. Him as the face of the party is better than Trump at the head of the country.

I don't have exact numbers but I wouldn't be surprised if those are similar to 2020 numbers

That's why the second voting starts (I believe NC starts mail ballots in 40ish days) they need to remind young people to vote early.

I hate to say this but someone like Taylor Swift urging voters to vote for a woman's right to choose or to save democracy would easily move the needle with the 18-29 year olds.ย

No because Taylor Swift is going to drive that number up when she announces her endorsement /onlyhalfkidding

Her campaign is pandering to young people with TikTok memes, sure. But pandering is cheap and doesn't reflect policy changes, which there likely won't be. Kamala will represent a continuation of Biden's presidency in the same way that Hillary and Biden would have been/were continuations of Obama's. Shapiro, if chosen, will likely be an escalation and I could personally see him being worse on Israel/Palestine than Trump and Biden combined.

I hate that the DNC has primed voters to believe that a long career of loyalty to the party means it's someone's turn to be POTUS. 2032 it'll be VP Shapiro's "turn" and any opposition will be called anti-Semitic.ย

Young people should get out to vote, but there's a reason politicians don't try to appeal to them as much: they just don't vote. They rather sit online and complain than stand in line to vote. This election will, once again, by decided by minority groups coming together, especially the black vote. But any additional votes from young people will obviously help so she does need to throw them a bone.

ย

ย

How is she so fast? :jonny: Surely this was recorded prior to Biden's dropping out lmao.

Yeah, I agree that memes are surface level and I was talking to my boss about that earlier because of how her young daughters are obsessed with Kamala. But the question is, with how our society now operates, maybe memes over policy is how you reach young people. :deadbanana:ย Most people don't have the attention span to even look up policy these days. Or maybe you have to integrate your policy positions into memes.

I mean, that's just how it's always been. It's "safer" to run someone the country knows, like the VP or an existing big name, than to run someone new. It's all about those donor dollars.

Like 70/30 is obviously not happeningย :rip:

ย

2008: 95/4

2012: 93/6

2016: 88/8

2020: 87/12

ย

72/19 seems unrealistic but it's easy to believe that gap has further closed for 2024 as part of a larger trend of Republicans making gains with POC and Democrats making gains with older whites.

Those of us that are in the 18-29 year old age group (or slightly older) can actually help by volunteering for Kamala and encouraging the youngest generation of voters to go out and vote early. Explaining that elections are rarely between the ideal vs evil and that we can only choose the better of the two major party candidates. The 18-25 year old guys I know have a herd mentality and if you sway one from a group, you can get all of them to follow. Anyone here a volunteer for the dems?ย

I wish I was in a swing state. I signed up to phone bank in what I assuming will only be swing states. I will do it eventually, I feel like it should just be a closer to the election. Maybe in August.
