Not the one state, WI, I thought would be an issue actually being the savior here. :deadbanana:

I wonder what the general response to this will be. She could have worded it better if she wanted to play the middle. There was absolutely despicable behavior yesterday (calls to **** all jews, the "final solution", destory all non-muslims) among a sea of good intentioned people against genocide. This issue is so nuanced that a statement this brief was never going to help.

I mean, there are people on the left who will not like or accept any condemnation of the protests no matter how violent they are. They view all of these protests as valid and uncritiqueable even though it is objectively insane to write pro-HAMAS graffiti on things.

The WSJ spill where it was reported that she'd ask for a ceasefire and to end the war better be true. At this point, even though I don't agree, any high profile politician will be called upon to condemn people with Hamas flags.

I just think you're asking for a losing battle if you expect a presidential candidate to say "who cares it's just property damage"

He's really going all out on his audition meanwhile Beshear has been awfully quiet? Maybe it's because it's Beshear's turn to be interviewing with her camp.

Crazy that the first black female POTUS and first black POTUS might not be descendants of chattel slavery.

Kamala's dad is from Jamaica and is almost certainly a descendant of people who were enslaved.

I shouldn't be shocked, by any of it anymore. Seeing this resurface for some reason…

Not from American chattel slavery.

Andy was going all out too but ultimately you have to go back to being governor. I guess it's Josh's turn to play theater lol.

How does California keep getting these republicans 💀

Because people are fed up with how the streets are—what's not clicking? It's why Chesa Boudin lost his city DA election.

the left's message of compassion and harm reduction means nothing when they don't provide opportunity or housing because their respective NIMBYs fight them tooth and nail

it's good to see California coming to its sense. It won't be a far right lurch, but it's time to not let people be face down, ass up in the streets (actually happened to me sooo many times in SF)

The Democrats need to put forward a reparations policy and campaign on it already. They treat Black Americans like crap.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. Not only is it just the right thing to do (or at least the bare minimum since realistically the US isn't going to punish Israel for its genocidal ambitions), but it would be such a waste of some of the enthusiasm and goodwill she's managed to already gather.
