The Harris campaign probably saw the narrative starting and wanted to hit it early.

This is just a basic political scientific fact. Even the bluest states look like they're deep red if you look at the vote in some visuals if you look at a county-by-county level (one exception is Alaska which looks like a solidly blue state or, at least, a swing state but is very reliably red). something about seeing Oklahoma county all on its lonesome in that sea of red is sending me truly forget what an oasis it is to live here vs the rest of the state
