I wonder what the general response to this will be. She could have worded it better if she wanted to play the middle. There was absolutely despicable behavior yesterday (calls to **** all jews, the "final solution", destory all non-muslims) among a sea of good intentioned people against genocide. This issue is so nuanced that a statement this brief was never going to help.ย

It had to be done. CNN were already dedicating their shows last night showing some of the protesters carrying around Hamas flags as well. The Harris campaign probably saw the narrative starting and wanted to hit it early.ย

Why did this thread devolve into personal attacks recently with the influx of new membersย :gaycat6:

This... is why you're being called out. Democrats thinking "this is the year we take Texas" year after year is overly ambitious and delulu, yes. But, no one seriously thinks Texas is ever at play. If we did then we'd have less conversations about PA, MI, and WI because if TX was winnable then winning that alone would be enough to prevent a GOP win.

ย

Regarding the "county-by-county" breakdown in TX, Republicans will always win rural counties. That's not a metric that means anything. Dems always win because of cities. This is just a basic political scientific fact. Even the bluest states look like they're deep red if you look at the vote in some visuals if you look at a county-by-county level (one exception is Alaska which looksย like a solidly blue state or, at least, a swing state but is very reliably red).

something about seeing Oklahoma county all on its lonesome in that sea of red is sending meย :hoetenks:

ย

truly forget what an oasis it is to live here vs the rest of the state

We've tried taking the trolls in good faith for a while, and now they're just being annoying.

ย

It's reminding me of the days where political threads were filled with that Kellyanne Conway stan and European Trump supporters.ย

She clearly doesn't want to play the middle here. Both her and Biden have already chosen the side that demonizes all protesters as being antisemitic hordes incapable of any nuanced thoughts or beliefs aside from hating Jews. Her husband is an ultra-Zionist, her current superior is an ultra-Zionist, and her likeliest running-mate to be is one as well. Her professed sympathy for Gazans murdered by Netanyahu's American bombs is fake, and she will not find any moral quandary in sending him more bombs to continue his genocide in January.

Crazy that the first black female POTUS and first black POTUS might not be descendants of chattel slavery.

Posted

we need offensive senate campaigns just as much as the presidential since it seems like the trend continues of Dems downballot outpacing the top of the ticket (although Harris' gains compared to Biden should not he ignored)

The WSJ spill where it was reported that she'd ask for a ceasefire and to end the war better be true. At this point, even though I don't agree, any high profile politician will be called upon to condemn people with Hamas flags.
