He's very likable. He could be a good choice tbhย

Then you're pretty much creating the conditions for another Trump-like figure to appear, even if you defeat Trump himself.

ย

What many of you need to understand is that these "Messianic Saviors" don't pop up from nowhere. They are the result of traditional parties being incapable of solving people's problems, or being to corrupt to even want to solve them.

Harris's team has already come out and confirmed that all of these reports are speculative.ย

I had a bad feeling Eric Holder was gonna go for name ID over the issues. I hope there's a change of course.

So her top two VP candidates are bad choices?ย Mark Kelly will cause her problems with unions and Josh Shapiro with the progressive left.

ย

It sucks because both of them would have helped her electorally because they come from states that are or could be in play in this election. I guess she'll have to decide whether it's worth it to "secure" Pennsylvania, but anger the left; or help her get closer in Arizona, but anger unions. It's not an easy choice.ย

And despite the settlement there's the risk Shapiro's accuser will come forward :coffee2:ย

And that's why she needs to pick Pete Buttigieg instead.

I think Shapiro is actually the worst choice of any of the VP contenders (bar Pritzker, I just don't think he has natural charisma or good enough name ID). I think he would flop in his chance against Vance.ย

Bashear > Kelly > Whitmer > Buttigieg > Cooper > Walz > Shapiro > Pritzker

Tim walz is my first choice. Secures MN and helps with the rest of the Midwest. Helps with progressives but because he's a white man moderates centrists and independents will only see a sweet old manย

I was impressed by his TV spot yesterday, but I wish king appeared a bit more youthful.ย

Not to say that leftist cynicism is always right, but...

Shapiro actually under-performed in several largely black districts in Philadelphia compared to Fetterman, which is a huge red flag, especially when Fetterman had an actual opponent and Shapiro's was a caricature.

I understand people's knee-jerk to want "new stars" but it veers into political malpractice for the idea to basically be "oh this governor / senator / etc. is popular in their state? They're PERFECT for POTUS!".

ย

I'm sure someone like Mark Kelly, for example, is a lovely man, but it's very nonsensical to ignore that his popularity in Arizona comes from having a non-political job ("ASTRONAUT! COOL!") and that his (reasonable!) popularity is from the very local reality of what happened to his wife and how that rocked Arizona politics.

ย

These "hometown heroes", whether the husband of Gabby Giffords, or the princess of the Whitmer's political legacy in Michigan, more often than not fall on their face when pushed into presidential politics.

ย

Relying on the idea of "well their state likes them!" with little care for how they impact segments of the electorate outside of that, particularly *the base* would be... dddd

ย

And I don't even mind Kelly! I teared up reading his recount of how he, his children, and his mother-in-law wailed in the hospital waiting room when the local newscast reported an incorrect report that Gabby had died form her gunshot wound. But if labor unions are already this invested in Kamala, it'd be odd to sour that support.

The fascism isn't magically going away by just beating Trump. We'll be in the same predicament next election with a younger version of him like Desantis if there's no plan to actually help Americans or to end the genocide in Gaza๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟ

I don't care, all of these reports about everyone but Andy being top picks just makes me believe he is the top pick. They're keeping him under wraps.

I don't have the energy to unpack any of this, but Lefty Twitter and Black X is a hot mess right now.ย

ย

Inevitable, but I might as well start the ball rolling on thisโ€ฆ.

This is the type of videos that they could use against Kamala (if the RNC was smart, which they aren't):

ย

Prosecuting parents for truancy is INSANE. Never beating the KOPMALA allegations...
