I was just thinking yesterday how Kamala at Pride 2019 will definitely be in many Republican attack ads

I believe any attacks on her persona are likely to backfire

Β

And maybe now more than ever Republicans will realize that allowing Trump/Maga people to take over the party was a mistake

It's a lot of money to spend on a presidential campaign. It was one thing when he thought Trump was very likely to win. But now that it seems like a toss up, I imagine he has better things to do with all that money.Β

Β As a millenial, I've spent my entire life watching the GOP shoot down any and every legislation that would benefit people.Β

Β

And that's why it's kinda pathetic that Dems haven't been able to wipe them out of the political map. Clearly trying to be moderate is not what younger voters want

When they are trying to attack her giggling and smiling... :toofunny3:Β they are so lame, meanwhile those clips are turning her into a likeable meme among random people who don't care much about politics and see her as having fun and being positive energyΒ

I'm looking forward to hearing Kamala's policy ideas. Hoping for some more progressive goals than what Biden had!

Β

I feel like there's no way in hell it could happen, but I would love seeing an administration that went after these massive corporations for their price gouging. I doubt prices will go back down much (if any), but someone needs to check their asses to stop the out of control inflation we've seen the past few years from happening again.

Β

I'd also love seeing some type of new or extra tax on the ultra wealthy and funneling those new found funds into solid, well planned initiatives to tackle some of our biggest issues like homelessness, food insecurity, and finally providing universal healthcare. There are so many problems this country has that are just flat out unnecessary because the money to fix them is out there, it's just sitting in some investment portfolio or bank account literally serving no one (not even the person it belongs to). :deadbanana:

Β

I was already going to vote for Biden if only to stop Trump and Project 2025, but this has made me actually excited to cast my vote and HOPEFUL for the future again.

in the grand scheme of things,Β

a likeable meme is not going to win the election

Β

i'm obviously living for the edits and jokes but at the end of the day, the good sis just sounds like she had way too many vodka sodas, even as VP, she always came across as unprofessionalΒ

Β

Michelle Obama or Marianne Williamson were better choices imoΒ

The smartest thing Trump can do now is to ditch Vance. He brings NOTHING to his ticket and is not very liked by anyone. Only the most hardcore Trumpist like it.

Β

Nikki Haley would have made more sense for Trump and helped him get more female voters. But Trump was probably butthurt she ran against him...

The sudden increase in enthusiasm I have seen since Biden dropped out with Kamala siezing this opportunity by the neck and running with it is Β nothing short of shocking. How can everything flip like this in two days?Β

There is definitely some money behind Vance as a nom that I don't think the Trump campaign wants to lose. Vance has always been unpopular, they knew that when they picked him.Β

Do we think a Biden resignation would help or hurt Kamala? It would give her less time to campaign but give her a chance to take on the job and maybe gain some more incumbency benefit. I have seen multiple different takes on this and am not sure where I stand, so was curious what you all think.

Β

That said, I do not think he will resign so this is purely hypothetical

I can't help but think that JD Vance might've accidentally ended his political career early. He's going from straight from being a Senator for 2 years to VP. No relevant experience. No political accomplishments. No legislation accomplishments either before that. No charisma. Not liked by the donor class. No long term established relationship with the RNC. Not trusted by the MAGA base. Disliked by independents.Β
Β

if Trump wins, I have trouble picturing Vance winning the nomination in 2028 if Trump doesn't try again. If Trump does try again then come 2032 he will be damaged goods with no shot in a general.

Β

if Trump loses this time, Trump will throw him under the bus in about 2 weeks. That would definitely lead to Vance getting A primary challenger by someone even more MAGA come 2028- in which case he will lose.Β
Β

if Trump does somehow ditch him now and swaps him with someone else, he's a sitting duck until 2028 anyways.

Honestly a lot of it was just Biden getting out of the way. He was a terrible candidate for this election and the Dems shouldn't have been saddled with him.

I go to a gym with a lot of Trump supporting MAGAts and last week they were gleeful at the terrible state the dems were in while discussing how wonderful Trump2.0 will be for the country. TodayΒ I could see fear in their eyes. They were angry and frustrated. Β This has been a dramatic turnaround and I hope the dems can keep this energy up.Β

Agreed with above. She needs to be able to focus solely on the one hundred days ahead. Being president would saddle her with Palestine and pull her away. Let Biden do whatever it is he does now.Β

Nah, Michelle Obama would 100% be more popular than Kamala and Marianne had better policy proposals by far compared to Kamala who is attached to a genocidal administration.Β

Michelle is the country's most popular Democrat but has been very vocal about her distaste for elected office, and how she didn't want Barack to be president, let alone herself.Β

She was never a choice for us to draft.

Marianne is a ******* moron. A nut job quack who should be in a straight jacket. She would lose in a MONUMENTAL landslide.Β
