I mean tbf it wasn't exactly "hidden" even then. I remember all the times I and others were shut down for "mocking his stutter" or "enabling Trump" by pointing it out so yeah this has still been suppressed for quite some time

Lmao. Dean Phillips being their source.

AND JUST LIKE THAT IT IS OVER.

Poor Marianne Williamson. Good luck next time where you'll undoubtedly try yet again to help republicans win.

prtizker, an old money corporate billionaire, would be such an awful choice when you're trying to draw contrast against trump. shapiro being a zionist freak should be disqualifying too obviously.

I know what Andy said, but his lt. governor tweeting this is very SUS.

The only swing state I worry about is WI, which admittedly is because idk the demographic. PA can be won if Harris is able to rock the black vote in places like Philly and Pittsburgh. And Michigan can be in the same way in places like Detroit. Idk if there's an equivalent to that in WI lol.

In order for WI to go blue they need Dane county to somehow keep trending bluer (if it's even possible at this point) and with a high turnout at UW-Madison, and for inner city Milwaukee residents to go out to vote in droves.

Yeah Pritzker has been a decent governor so far but he is NOT made for a national ticket. He's too detached from the working class. I would be here for his Secretary of State to run for VP though :ryan3:

I can confirm I've also been asked for vetting documents. Not sure why, though.

I think Shapiro is the one that makes the most sense to secure Pennsylvania.

Dems have no path to victory without PA, and they've also been doing far worse in PA compared to the other Rust Belt states.

This is the kind of people propping up trumps campaign. Disgusting

I'm not crazy about Shapiro but I don't think it would lead to youth voter disenfranchisement @Communion @Sazare
Unless something more drastic than a simple VP choice happens between now and Election Day, Kamala should be on track to get a huge youth vote turnout. And that's not because she's particularly special or anything. Age is just such a big issue with this election cycle combined with youth turnout since Roe's overturning that I think she's headed for some relatively big margins even when compared to Joe who won 18-29's by ~25 points.

If she ultimately chooses Shapiro I think it'll be because the campaign vetted him enough to know he's not going to go out there being Mr. Zionist/Defeat-Hamas. That's not the message she will have so why would her running mate be allowed to say that?

And didn't they raise like, $200m from big donors? More than a quarter of 1 billion in a day is insane. People are excited and they are riled up. The rumors about donors not wanting Kamala were very clearly fake.

I know there's absolutely merit to a genuine open convention, but personally I do think it was the best choice that the party nearly as a whole gave a vocal push behind a specific candidate. It seems to be seen less as a coronation and more of a party that finally feels unified

The last 48 hours have been such an emotional and mental whiplash because tell me why every single tweet from that "Biden's Wins" account used to fill me with an instinctual rage but now that the exact same person is posting the exact same types of tweets under the name "Kamala's Wins", my gut reaction is "yes legend, tell them!!!" :deadbanana2: :deadbanana2:

I don't think this really squares away with polling on young people and the age depolarization happening.

Harris might remedy a lot of issues normies had about Biden's age post-debate, but Biden's numbers soured with young voters long before the debate.

December 2023:

November 2023:

June 2022:

May 2022:

April 2022:

Now, maybe Harris might simply not have enough time to sour young voters on her the way Biden did (though his polling began slipping amongst young voters close to 6-9 months into his presidency), but It feels dangerous to kind of underestimate just how easily political tides can turn amongst young people. "Copmala" *was* a thing in 2020.

Ex: He actually does match her freak, but uhhh in a way that wouldn't invite positive discourse to her campaign. :rip:

Edit - Ernest (if y'all remember him from the PA Senate election coverage) co-signing Drew's tweet is eye-opening.

What good is a Pennsylvania political figure that might not actually be well-liked amongst black Pennsylvanians?

Also interesting that both Ernest and Drew want Beshear.

who's got eyes on Mark Kelly the last day? I think he's the best choice tbh

Yeah, he's beloved. As a progressive I believe Kamala should pick whoever is least likely to further American hegemony (as much as possible in our currently political landscape).
