They are revealing their hand so much right now. ย They don't have a strategy that does not revolve around Biden. ย

I think some of you are truly underestimating how DISLIKED Kamala truly is:

She was disliked BEFORE she was even picked as VP, and she has been the face of many of the policies that most people dislike from Biden's administration.ย

ย

At this point, I'd argue she's more disliked than Hillary in 2016. She can improve this numbers, but she needs to work really, really hard to win Middle America, and those who live in the Southern Border and were affected by some of the policy decisions she was the face of.

An underrated benefit of Biden's decision is watching how much it's making Trump mad on a personal level :dies:ย He really has zero ability to not look completely deranged every time something remotely inconvenient happens to him.ย

Can you articulate what those policies were? Quickly?ย

Maybe an all female ticket is a good move? It'll bring out the most unpopular elements in the GOP and really feel like a 21st century ticket.ย

She spoke many times about theย Inflation Reduction Act, but it did NOTHING to reduce inflation. So the people who were suffering through high inflation in 2022/2023 may have sour on her after hearing her repeat that this act would help reduce inflation

ย

She was also the face of the 1.5 BILLION aid pack give to Ukraine. This happened while people in the US were really struggling. So why did the government use taxpayer money to help Ukraine while their own population was going through a rough patch?

ย

And let's not even talk about the Southern Border Crisis and how she tasked to fix it and didn't even visit it for a long time, and ultimately did nothing of substance.

Mark Kelly is not in the vp conversation? I guess he is more valuable in the Senateย

Joe Biden kept Trump's Title 42 policy in place and recently signed one of the most conservative executive orders stripping the asylum process bare.ย

ย

So you're saying these conservative policies backfired and she should pivot away from them?

But you know everyone in US politics is "disliked" these days. People will hate you just for being on the "other side" as them

ย

And that aid package to Ukraine was a drop in the bucket of the US government's budget. They would have money to house every homeless person in America but they're not doing it because they don't want to

He has been in the conversation and continues to be. And while we're on that subject, I hadn't seen this yet here

RCP updated the averages. This is of course based on polls before she was announced as likely candidate for the presidency. We'll see what happens in the following weeks:

Her first speech will be SO important. Her favorabilities are low, but they're not "deep" per se, so she has a chance to define herself as a candidate.ย :giraffe:

Andy Beshear's appearance on Morning Joe... fantastic. Maybe he does have what it takes, and that southern accent sure is charming. Loved the whacking he gave JD Vance. :jonny:

Good thing about Harris, IMO, is that both Trump and Biden have practically peaked with their numbers which is why they've remained relatively the same for months now. With Harris being new and picking a good VP, there's a chance she has not yet peaked and we could see her numbers shoot up. There are millions in this country who didn't want to vote for neither Joe nor Trump because they were too old and they may be inclined to vote for Harris (not guaranteed obvi). I guess we'll see.

@NausAllienย one of the continually highest pushing factors towards ongoing inflation is grocery prices - it was determined a couple years ago by several economist studies it was based on high transportation costs and scarcity with the pandemic and the wars but at this point the fact they haven't adjusted it is just greed even though they've lowered. You want Kamala to sue the grocers? Good luck withstanding SCOTUSย

ย

About that border? Who still says Mexico was going to pay for a wall (that wouldn't work)? Who killed the bipartisan bill just for electoral benefit?

Great thing is... Kamala can articulate all of this better than Biden ever could.ย
