He's been around an hour late to every event recently. His presser last night was even pushed back by an hour or something that and he was STILL late. Then he was late to that Zoom meeting with Latino elected officials and pulled the plug early after one of them told him to drop out.

The crowd just chanted "Don't you quit" :deadbanana2:these bellends are something else. Literally saw someone on twitter today try to parrot the "he's had our back for 4 years now it's our turn" line

They chanted "we have Joe's back" at the rally.

It's not surprising. His crowds have been screaming "FOUR MORE YEARS" to drown out Palestine protesters for months.

There is a reason the DNC is going hybrid with online functions. And it's not because COVID is still around :doc:Β

House candidates in swing seats need to start loudly making the argument that in the event of a Trump presidency, a Democratic House will be the only check on his power. They can even do it without throwing Biden under the bus.

Β

"The Supreme Court has given Trump permission to commit any crime without facing any punishment. They will not check him. The Republicans will win the senate race in West Virginia and flip the senate red. They will not check him. The electoral college can **** us over like it did in 2016. It will not check him. Only a Democratic House can do that. If you're an independent voter, we strongly encourage you to vote for your Democratic house candidate as a check on a possible Trump White House. If you don't want to vote for Biden for whatever reason, leave the top of the ballot blank and vote for your Democratic House candidate. A Democratic House can't stop Trump from becoming President, but we can be the only check on his power."

Idk about y'all but after that disastrous debate performance and the negative press that followed I had a real sense of hope that we would finally get rid of Biden as the candidate. But seeing him adamant about staying in the race and then continuing to stumble through speeches is VERY demoralizing. Like I wouldn't even vote at all if he wasn't running against a wannabe dictator. I didn't have Biden supporters and surrogates serving MAGA levels of delusion on my 2024 bingo card. I feel like we're being gaslit to the extremeΒ :psyduck:

I've said it before and I'll say it again in this thread the Dems in office who still "support" Biden are banking on him losing and then Trump and the Republicans turning the country to s*** so they can come back in 4 years and run as the "good guys" here to save the country but jokes gonna be on them when he gets the Supreme Court to overturn presidential term limits.Β

These things take time. They're not choosing what meal to have at McDonalds. They're deciding on whether or not the current president is the best candidate to run against Trump and prevent the downfall of democracy. This could take 2-3 weeks of meetings, media warfare, back and forth arguing and conflict within the party before any set decision is made.Β

Just more excuses. Biden isn't going anywhere and I doubt anyone is going to convince him. The "set decision" has already been made by him.Β

Sure Jan - the party is conflicted and Biden's race is dead. Trump can just use adverts saying "Even his own party don't believe in him" and show the tweets. It's nonsensical for him to run. Anyway the democrats can open their convention with or without Joes approval.Β

"Sure Jan" I don't know what's worse that tired reference or you believing Democrats have enough courage to do thatΒ :deadbanana4:

Yeah I understand the panic and absolutely want him to drop out, and I get how optically it would be fun if he dropped out on Monday to hurt RNC press.

Β

But also I think realistically we should expect this whole thing to drag out a few more weeks. I think it is probably like 60/40 right now. 60% he remains the old stubborn man he's historically been and drags his feet long enough to get to the convention and lock in as the nominee, 40% someone in his deep inner circle who hasn't been exiled from said inner circle already finally sees the light and is able to get through to him or some internal polls hit after this media coverage that are so blatantly clear that he'll lose and doom the house vote too that the party apparatus fully revolts leaving him little choice.

It's a literal amendment in the constitution. This is such a low information voter take.Β

Well for context I already know this. It's just I don't put anything past Trump, a Republican controlled Congress and a conservative Supreme CourtΒ

Considering what your definition of "stable genius" may be I'll take that as a compliment.Β

So stable, the meltdowns on a pop forum over politics that you clearly don't have a grasp on. Are you Joe Biden?Β

You took the liberty to find and quote all my posts on a pop forum to prove some irrelevant point (that you're failing to make) yet you question my stability? What astounding ironyΒ :toofunny3:

We're literally just going to be doing this for 4 months if he doesn't drop out. Biden does one good speech, everyone acts like he's about to cruise to a win. Biden does one bad speech, everyone remembers the guy is an inconsistent disaster. Repeat every week until Trump wins in November because the swing voters who will actually decide the election never cared about the "discourse" to begin with and just independently believed he was too old to be president the entire time :rip:
