Bernie would never run against Biden in 24 ? he and Joe are friends.ย

Friendship is cute and all, but we need someone who can get young people to the polls and stop Desantis or Trump.ย

Bernies already said he wonโ€™t. Heโ€™s one of joes bigger cheerleaders in the senate.ย

The same poll has Biden beating trump in a head to head. I which shows some Dems and independents may not be the most happy with Biden but would still vote for him over trump. Again. Which has some in the gop worried

I donโ€™t trust polling in regards to Trump if Iโ€™m honest. Polling showed Hillary winning against him in 2016, and polls overestimated Bidenโ€™s strength in 2020. Trumpโ€™s fanatical base is not accurately represented in polling, and without a firestorm of covid and scandals, I think Trump would defeat Biden.

Itโ€™s pretty clear that if this man runs again Dems will LOSE. Young people ainโ€™t here for him, they want someone younger but who?? Kamala is also out of the conversation so I wonder what young figure would rally the most people behind them? Because I donโ€™t see any prominent younger figures that could realistically have a shot at winning. People have been calling for Gavin to run but didnโ€™t he face a recall last yearย :toofunny3:ย and if Cuomo hadnโ€™t had the scandal they wouldโ€™ve probably called for him to run too (tho heโ€™s older). So what alternatives do Dems have? Theyโ€™re gonna try to force Biden again but this time it will really backfireย :dies:

Gavin is 100% planning to run for president, though I wasn't expecting that until 2028 but i'd be fine with him running in 2024. He is amazing and that recall means nothing for his chances at the white house. He has made some dumb ass mistakes personally but as far as being governor, he is the best governor we have ever had here in california as far as im concerned.

ย

ย

I've always liked biden and supported his run but he has been a complete failure as president imo. He has let me down more than I ever thought he would. The old way of governing and doing things no longer works and he refuses to see that so he needs to go along with any other democrats who refuse to see how things have changed. A Gavin/AOC ticket could possibly excite democrats enough to turn out and vote but idk.

Thatโ€™s a lot of undecideds for a race that has already played out. Not to mention a margin like that implies Biden wins the popular vote but loses the electoral college. The copium. :skull:ย

Thereโ€™s just no way Biden will win a second term barring some insane circumstances which rehabilitate his approval.

Look at these crosstabs

ย

ย

22% of young voters outright saying they would skip the election if this was the choice we were left with.

And with 39% of the Latino vote on lock, that puts states like Nevada, New Mexico and possibly even Colorado in play for the GOP as Biden continues to hemorrhage in popularity.

Over 2 and a half years before then. As history has shown. Anythingโ€™s possible lolย

A Gavin/AOC. Ticket would fail just as badly. ?

The problem Dems have is their bench is not strong at all. The up and coming Dems while popular with the dem base has already been made into boogeymen (just like the gop did with Clinton, Pelosi, Obama, Biden ย ect.) just their names rile up the gop and their base. ย Kinda the same trumps does for the other side.ย

The Dems need a political outsider to run. People are done with corporate, career politicians and these political dynasties.ย

I was saying AOC, Abrahams, Newsom, Warnock, ect all have already been turned into liberal boogeymen just like the โ€œpolitical dynastiesโ€ havewhich really hurts the dem bench.ย

ย

only one who really hasnโ€™t been is Fetterman. And we all have high hopes for him in PAย

The polls were right both times.

ย

The pundits are the ones screwing it up and still acting like the national popular vote is how weโ€™ll decide the presidency. ??ย

And DeSantis will win. Newsom is a standard old Democrat that would be unable to call out the failure of the Democratic Party. For someone to be successful, they at least need to be able to acknowledge that Democrats screwed up with Biden and that they need to do better. If they constantly defend the Democrats' weakness and reassure voters they will be more or less the same as Biden, they will lose. Newsom's record shows he'd be that type of Democratic candidate.

Only 1% of people under 30 strongly approving of Biden, omg yikesย :bibliahh:

ย

More people in EVERY CATEGORY (including 65+ and Black) think that we should nominate someone else (including 94% of people under 30)ย :bibliahh:ย

ย

"Anybody could be doing a better job than what they're doing now"

ย

"He wasn't prepared to do the job"

ย

Someone mentioning the video of Biden saying terminate the "presidency" instead of "pregnancy", comparing the president to zombies

ย

"He's doing nothing"

ย

"He hasn't done what I think he's capable of doing as president to help the American people" !!! like Jamarl said, the American people are sick of tired of seeing Biden help Ukraine CONSTANTLY (as if he's president of Ukraine) while paying us DUST and while America is a MESS

ย

"Only 1% rated economic conditions as excellent"

ย

"Only 26% of Democratic voters said the party should renominate him"

Friendly reminder that millions of us will not be voting for someone who doesn't support Medicare for All.ย :siptea:

Literally no one who is serious and wants to be the partyโ€™s nominee is gonna say that kind of stuff. ?
