It's already been mentioned here, but so much of the Dem's hypocrisy is rooted in the criticism of Republicans staying in line behind Trump out of fear when if anything what's happening on the other side is far more insidious - they pretend otherwise and aren't as open about it. The only factor to rival what I'm seeing right now with Democrats is AIPAC's vice grip on the party over Israeli policy. At some point in the spring of next year as Stephen Miller is starting mass deportation, Russia takes over Kyiv, Jared builds new luxury condos in Gaza, same-sex marriage is back to the states in early court fights and the Senate is working to eliminate the ACA with selective filibuster dropping, there will be admissions of this, but in the meantime, fat chance. A bunch of reps relying too much on their staffers for risk-taking that in turn just want to keep their jobs. Welcome to DC. 1

So it comes down to when and how, which we can unpack here. The entire Ohio excuse for a nomination process prior to the convention aside, this needs to happen in the next two weeks or the momentum will be gone, imho. 1
