But as soon as Obama, Clinton and co. endorsed him it encouraged him to tough it out. What do you expect from this party though? They should have got some spine and had a proper primary and challenged him. Look how much infighting goes on in the GOP and it doesn't stop them. But Democrats are so worried about being "united" that they'll promote a candidate who is incapable of serving for another 4 years. Hm I'm still doubtful they'll push him out but the day after the debate was not the time to do it. This is the pivotal week and if this week comes and goes without the dam breaking then we can kiss a replacement goodbye unless something crazy happens

bunnyeyes Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Blue maga has to be a psyop the comments are just too parody likeΒ Β I don't blindly stan for any politician even the ones I like because I believe in policy over figureheads. bunnyeyes Posted July 8 Posted July 8 I don't want Trump to win and I don't want the Biden campaign to move further right. Blindly accepting all of their actions is very dangerous, especially when historically it's been the pressure of progressive activists that have caused the democrats to actually take action and not give in to the right. Look at the history of DACA for a simple example of this. Silencing all dissent is not good for democracy, we must make sure our voices are heard by our leaders. It's *not* about teaching anyone a lesson it's about protecting the rights of our most vulnerable . I'm so lucky to have interned in DC with people who actually care about the issues and haven't been afraid to push the Dems on social issues when needed. The campaign would easily throw any group under the bus for extra votes/not support much of what it currently supports if weren't for the pressure put on them by activist movements.Β Β BTW,Β Posting our opinion here is not activism whatsoever and that's part of the reason why it's healthy to have a space to vent our opinions particularly in a (mostly) chill predominately queer space, and there's nothing wrong having a no-stakes discussion with other voters and people from around the world.Β

Buffy Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Can't believe Biden is pushing forward with the debate. I watched a video of him speaking in 2019 vs 2024. He looks and sounds like he's aged 30 years.Β 1 1
