I justโ€ฆ don't think Walz resonates. Idk, he does seem too nice as well. I want an unabashed fighter.ย

And he's been that to a certain degree, I think. Buttigieg even more so. He's a beast at destroying republicans and their talking points. But he's also very much from the same school of politics of Harris, Biden, Obama & Clinton and that is not winning a election. That's fantasies to think otherwise. Voters largely rejected Harris andย neoliberalism. Who would you like to see at the top of the ticket ? A Walz/Whitmer ticket for me. If you're thinking Newsom or Shapiro then...lol.

Kamala Harris oversaw a genocide ๐Ÿ’€ we can't pick Walz because of a single Minnesota town?

And, uh, you think he wouldn't do the exact same...?

Carry water for a genocidal nation state? If he wants to lose then I guess he would

if you're looking for a politician that wouldn't vote for Israel's best interests you might as well say you're never voting in an election again.ย

Omg are they asking people this question every week?ย :rip:
It's 3 and half years away. I love the primary horse race as much as everyone else, but people need to start focusing on the here and now instead of a hypothetical primaryย

I'm not one of those "respect the oval office" type people, but my god this makes me sad. just full on desecration in the tackiest way.

Trump embodies American values better than any president tbh. We're greedy, we like bullies, we are gaudy and hate admitting to wrongdoing or taking responsibility.ย

He is forcing state workers back to the office

The theory of popularisn means that the vast majority of Americans supporting such a policy and not thinking the highly educated email job class needs the added privilege of remote work means that this is a check in Walz' favor. Great fact to point out to his electability. :clap3:

While I agree with this to some extent, the primary is not 3.5 years away - the general is. Primary season is only 1.5 years away, which to me makes it important for people to see how candidates are polling. Because if nobody builds a strong movement, and builds one quick, we are going to have Kamala again, or if she doesn't run, an even worse more conservative candidate like Shapiro, Whitmer, or god-forbid a Manchinesque Newsom. People keep acting like the primary is light years away and that is simply not the case. Most candidates in 2020 started campaigning in December 2018/January 2019. I don't believe the trends should be slept on. Polling trends in 2013/2017 both accurately predicted the nominee. The more people that see these polls the better, because it can drive a push for even more alternatives if what we are seeing now looks scary to Democrats that are keeping an eye on things.ย

I know we all joked yesterday about Fox looking for transgender sports stories to hide the crashing stocks but this was the story all yesterday :deadbanana2:

1) Why the **** does the ignore button not work anymore @atrlmods?

ย

2) Cheering on capitalism to save the middlemanager over environmental and quality of life concerns is a bold take for a progressive.ย But I guess this confirms all of this is about ego for you and not progressive policy.ย @everyone - take note.

ย

3) Tell me you're jealous without saying you're jealous. Remote work in pajama shorts again today raking in 100s of dollars? I think I will! ๐Ÿ˜€

But I was told by centrists that Democrats must stop listening to niche interests Groups and taking on their unpopular causes?

ย

The American public are loud and clear. Remote work is not popular with the US electorate at large.ย

ย

Yglesias and David Shor told me thus Dems must never support an 80/20 issue on the side of the 20% and unfortunately "the right to work from my kitchen sending emails" is a 20% issue. And we all know the electorate knows best!ย :celestial5:

Trump said many countries are coming to negotiate deals with him and that included Japan and Israel. Futures are skyrocketing. Clearly the market doesn't think these tariffs are going through either.

ย

Poor anyone who thought this was to bring back manufacturing :rip:ย Another victory lap in the media for Trump coming while the other countries appear whipped into compliance, regardless of what he actually gets out of the inevitable deals.

China just made it legal to steal the intellectual property from American companies. Do you know what that means for all the American companies based in China? The tech industry alone?ย :biblio:

Good for China tbh. They're only doing to America what every other country in the world should be doing. :clap3:ย
