I can't believe how awful the market closed today. Was in complete shock seeing the numbers after not checking since yesterday.

Wait till Monday when EU announces its phase 1 tarriffs will go into effect on April 9, and that they have a phase 2 for sometime in May. 🙃

It'll be worse next week. I guarantee that some people are hoping he changes course over the weekend and that markets are going to crash on Monday when he doesn't. Then the tariffs officially go into effect on Wednesday and countries are going to start to retaliate after that.

This is one of the few times ever that I've been more excited for Monday than the weekend ahead. Lol.

It all depends on whether Trump backs down on the tariffs (again.) On Fox they were saying that look at all these countries coming for daddy Trump to negotiate already, but so far it's been just Vietnam.

The cognitive dissonance in which Trump voters live in astounds me. I was talking to my boss the other day (loves Trump, talks about how bidenomics ruined the country, etc) and he mentioned that viral moment in Trump's 2016 campaign where he made fun of a disabled man on stage. My boss says he doesn't respect Trump as much since finding out about that, says he would event confront him about it if he ever met him in person. Why? Because my boss has an autistic son so that moment upset him. Then still went on to say that he's a great guy and that he loved the man. 

 

 

It took everything in me not to roll my eyes. Because how does one live in a bubble where the man made fun of disabled people (people like his son) and yet still say he's a great man? I haven't a clue.

Bidenomics is hillarious because it was the result of the fallout from COVID which happened under... Donald Trump's presidency.

Torres is primarying Hochul on the grounds that she's not enough of a rabid Zionazi for his tastes. So if Schumer were to be scared off by the polling (which, I doubt he will be…) then the moderates will have Mondaire Jones, Elliot Engel or Sean Patrick Maloney to rally around.

 

What would be really fun though is if Joe Crowley came back from the grave to run for Senate that year :rofl:
