In case anyone forgot, Russia is a terrorist state! They blew up the dam in Nova Khakovka, resulting in thousands of lives endangered, the destruction of over 80 villages, ecological damage that will take generations to repair, and puts the cooling system used to keep the Zaporozhzhia nuclear power plant running in danger.

 RUSSIA IS A TERRORIST STATE.

It's time for Kerch bridge to go down into history same with railroads that connect ruzzia with Donbas region, Ukrainian allies should destroy it with no hesitation and regrets.

As someone who's been sceptical about some of the mainstream reporting on Nord Stream, the idea that blowing it up was a Ukr. operation is becoming increasingly likely. This comes from the Discord leak.

Another Discord leak earlier revealed that Zelensky had (in a fit of rage, but still) proposed destroying another pipeline to crush Hungary's economy, seemingly in retribution for Orban's stance to the war.

If further confirmation of this comes out, huge implications for both further Euro support for Ukraine, but also the country's (already uncertain) entry into NATO. Hard to imagine a country that plotted & carried out attacks on members of an alliance being let into that alliance.

An act of war against a NATO Country would have certainly been… a choice. Crazy that we’re still learning about Discord leak info now, but I guess that’s what happens when the mainstream media is invested in doing the CIA’s job for them and investigating the leaker’s identity rather than the leaks themselves.

Should Ukraine have committed an act of war against Hungary and jeopardized the aid it has been getting from NATO?

I know at this point, anything short of giving Ukraine a stock of American nuclear missiles will fail to satisfy the warhawks, and I don’t doubt that those will be a future request that Joe Biden will hesitate on for months before inevitably caving. He’s given Zelenskyy everything he’s asked for so far, short of boots on the ground. Which, I mean, hey. That might also be next.

Separatist military Russian groups have taken over a few villages in Belgorod oblast (near the border with Ukraine) and continue fights. I hope this happens in other republics and autonomous regions of russian federation.

These separatist military groups are neo-Nazis (even though their leader is Jewish :rip:) and they oppose Putin's regime because they think Putin is not doing enough to preserve the white Slavic population in Russia. In their views Russia should be an ethno-nationalist state. (Russia has 100+ different ethnic groups)

Belarus starts taking delivery of Russian nuclear weapons

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has said his country has started taking delivery of Russian tactical nuclear weapons, some of which he said were three times more powerful than the atomic bombs the U.S. dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

The deployment is Moscow’s first move of such warheads — shorter-range less powerful nuclear weapons that could potentially be used on the battlefield — outside Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union.

“We have missiles and bombs that we have received from Russia,” Lukashenko said in an interview with the Rossiya-1 Russian state TV channel which was posted on the Belarusian Belta state news agency’s Telegram channel.

“The bombs are three times more powerful than those (dropped on) Hiroshima and Nagasaki,” he said, speaking on a road in a forest clearing with military vehicles parked nearby and some kind of military storage facility visible in the background.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Russia, which will retain control of the tactical nuclear weapons, would start deploying them in Belarus after special storage facilities to house them were made ready. [...] X

@Espresso So the CIA is claiming that Ukraine bombed the Nordstream pipeline last year and that the US advised them not to do so.

Do you buy this explanation at all? It's possible, but still I feel like it's more likely the US did it and is scapegoating the Ukrainians. MSNBC's Chris Hayes uncritically parroting the CIA talking points to discredit Sy Hersh made me LOL though

So looks more and more like Sy Hersh got this completely wrong, or, alternately a bunch of different outlets on two different continents have all gotten it totally wrong and Hersh's single source was correct.

@ClashAndBurn As I've said, we'll never know. I still think the U.S. did it and everyone's parroting talking points. The timing of that meeting with Scholz I still count as a huge red flag.

I'm glad United States did it. It's better if Germany is not dependent on Russia than if it is. It can now support Ukraine in a far better way even if it is at the expense of it's own citizens (just like all other NATO countries) because we are literally fighting imperialist fascism.

Besides arrive to Poland with a weapons cache and additional undisclosed members of their delegation on their way to Ukraine, they arrived in Kyiv to beg on behalf of Putin to withdraw his arrest warrant. Then, after Russia launched a missile attack in Kyiv during their stay, members of the South African delegation claimed there was no missile attack, and Ukraine is spreading misinformation. Meanwhile, Reuters journalists watched as the South African diplomats were led to a bomb shelter. A joke with a capital J.

OP has been updated (INCLUDING MAPS) from its original marker at Day 435 to Day 483. My apologies.

A lot of the Ukraine captures from a few months ago have been re-taken in the East, with some caveats. The South is more complicated.
