Magnolia (9/10)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (7.5/10)

Killing Them Softly (7/10) – This movie got a lot of s**t when it came out but it's lowkey ahead of its time.

There Will Be Blood (10/10) – Truly the masterpiece that everyone says it is.

Fury (8.5/10) – Haven't watched a war movie in forever and was pleasantly surprised by this one. Simultaneously brutal and gorgeous.

The Matrix (8/10)

Brilliant. A total home run. This type of film hasn't been made in over 20 years and these days I'm a little tired of all the gritty 'n raw. This one is warm, human, simple, and beautiful to look at.

Just watched Rebel Moon.
It's not a masterpiece but also not as bad as everyone say it is.

Not so recent but I saw Civil War last week and liked it a lot. Really beautiful production + cinematography, good performances. Some issues w the story and I think it could have been shorter. It was honestly one of the scariest films I've seen in a long time. It reminded me a lot of Children of Men (which I LOVED). 7.4/10 if I were to rate it.

We recently got the Regal unlimited membership, so we've been watching a lot of movies that we normally would have never seen, which has been a fun experience. We watched Challangers this past weekend and it was not what I was expecting but so good. A lot of sub context but interesting. Every actor did their big one too.

Berdreymi 8/10}

Late Night with the Devil 7/10 expected a lot more from this. The tone is kinda weird since at  parts it doesn't take itself seriously. It doesn't help that it was clearly inspired by Historia de lo Oculto. And the world building was much better there.

Monkey Man - 3/5

It had good and bad parts. Overall I enjoyed but I wouldn't recommend going to the movies for it. Just stream it later.

Godzilla X Kong - 2/5

It's my least favorite. Didn't really like the storyline.
