RV is my fave group but they are just not those girls when it comes to performing. aespa aren’t super amazing performers either but their hyper pop is more suited for a festival crowd. I’m trying to curate a RV Coachella setlist in my mind and I’m drawing blanks :rip:

A lot of Coachella performances are very chill. Not every performers are dancing and have a big production.

Yeah we got a billion kpop songs like this in the last few years but their delivery makes this kind of a b-side of the year :jonny:

Wasn't aespa teasing fans about this on their sns last week?

And it's still not last minute? Most performers were announced weeks or months ago

Blackpink's set was announced in January that yer

I find this very unfair to RV. From all the SM acts, they are the one who have the better stat in the US.

Good luck to Aespa. Their music is irrelevant in the US so idk if it was a good idea. Especially with how bad their end shows performances were, and with how Knetz dragged them.

It’s going be hard to hype a crowd with zero experience, especially if it’s on the main stage, aka the worst crowd ever. A mess is coming

It is unfair but at this point there’s not much we can do. SM has denied opportunities for RV time and time again you just gotta let it go for your own good. They 100% deserve to be there over Aespa but it’s out of our hands. Just gotta be content with the fact they’re still successful and growing. :michael:

CL’s set on Coachella was announced less than 48 hours before the show. I’m sure aespa will be just fine. :rip:

SM not pushing Red Velvet (and by push i mean basic promotions) in the US was/is such a huge mistake honestly. Luckily there is still demand for them but we all know SM will continue to pay dust :gaycat6:

RV's imaginary set list for Coachella:

1. Really Bad Boy

2. Zoo

3. Queendom

4. Dumb Dumb

5. Ice Cream Cake

6. Bad Boy

7. Butterflies

8. Russian Roulette

9. Beg For It

10. Peek-A-Boo

11. You Better Know

12. Hit That Drum

13. Zimzalabim

Imagine the crowd will bop in confusion to Zimzalabim :jonny5:

CL performed under 88rising slot.
88rising was announced since January.

Bad Boy was the perfect opportunity. It’s the fact Capitol actively said that they wanted RV on the label and yet nothing, just a ******* English version slapped onto the Summer Magic.

Psycho would’ve been good too but with Wendy’s accident that was never a possibility. Both songs being eligible for Gold :gaycat6:

It would be stupid to push a 8 year-old girlgroup instead an upcoming one :deadbanana2: Like i love RV to death but what the point of promoting them in a foreign market when they are about to disband soon enough. Stans are truly blind sometimes

That doesn’t change the fact that the details for the 88Rising set were only announced 36 hours before.

And tbh I don’t think SM planned this just a week or two before. Negotiations for this year’s Coachella have been going on for the longest time now.

Coachella always had some different stuff for weekend 2. I don’t know why this is so surprising.

the fact that SM created sperm when all they had to do was push their groups with actual demand :deadbanana4:

Did Twice not release an English single last year that did very well for them and boost the fandom a lot? That was 7 years in and they now have one of the biggest concerts in the US for girl groups across the board. RV is still SM’s most global group right now and they’re still growing even without releasing a velvet song in awhile.

Not saying Aespa shouldn’t be pushed but why didn’t RV get one even when they were upcoming?

The white girls in the dessert better get their life to Red Flavor
