Either she's unfortunately sick and can't recover for a long time or there is something serious going on with her family/personal life...or there was discord with her in the group. Very odd. JYP is in quite a bad position with their girl groups. TWICE is the only one pulling their weight (internationally at least). ITZY is inconsistent and mostly flopping...and NMIXX hasn't even taken off yet and they are already losing members. Not good. - Both ITZY and Red Velvet had a hit and a flop single this year. - ITZY has sold more albums this year - ITZY has more streams this year. So if Red Velvet aren’t flops, then so aren’t ITZY. JYP girl groups in general are still more successful than other companies this year especially in terms of combined sales etc.

ITZY SHOULD be doing much better, not on par with Red Velvet, which to be fair, Feel My Rhythm was more successful than Sneakers both in Korea and worldwide. It's similar to everyone comparing aespa's year to ITZY. Like, considering their 2019 aespa should be competing with IVE, LSRFM and NewJeans. ITZY's 2022 (and being honest their 2021 as well) as been on a downwards trend. At least with Sneakers it felt like they regained some of their footing in Korea, but Cheshire points to it just being a fluke. Like if Girls and Birthday flopped, I'm afraid to say that Cheshire is a bomb. It was barely even able to crack the Melon Top 100, was not able to debut inside the Circle Top 100 and it continued the trend of ITZY title tracks not charting on the Spotify Top 200. At least Girls and Birthday were able to do the first two

Red Velvet sold 1.8M this year alone (it will be higher once Birthday's sales are added). - RV has no U.S. distribution and SM doesn't target international markets for the girls, but RV's streaming numbers are still some of the best in SM. RV also has active soloists releasing music, dramas, radio shows, CFs etc. whereas ITZY's members are mostly jobless and unknown. And as others have told you, Red Velvet is over 8 years old and many of their peers have already disbanded or failed (GFriend, Mamamoo etc.). ITZY is only 3 years old. They should be competing with aespa and IVE, but simply aren't. Edited December 9, 2022 by Zack

Sheep Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 (edited) all the speculation and finger pointing over nothing. kpop fans never change or learn a lesson. At least wait for actual rumors or a statement before you start dragging people Edited December 9, 2022 by Century
jqnetto Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 the dramatics between members leaving, being added and coming back, Wonder Girls had 5 different line-ups. hopefully Jinni is fine, wishing her the best.
