back in the day when hanteo > gaon people call this sajaegi.

i don't believe this is the case for RV but it is very weird

More like the reverse cause Hanteo = actual sales reported, Gaon = shipments from the company

Apparently same thing happened with LSRF and GIDLE so probably Gaon is just slow to report

It always been the case with CUBE. People has been accusing them of sajaegi for years because of that. Because Gaon always updated late for them.

no because not all stores report to hanteo. meanwhile gaon counts everything.

that is why if hanteo has higher numbers people found it suspect.

but yeah it's probably just gaon slow with the updates

A lot of people say she started stealing the spotlight around Fancy with the concept change but she had been the main attraction on stage for a while by then.

Those hair flips during Signal showed the MPG material in her.

Sadly I think she's fallen off a bit in recent years, I don't see the same passion in her performances anymore, I think it started around Alcohool Free. She's still great and probably top3 but Jihyo and Momo kinda steal the show nowadays from her.

Even in that first clip as soon as I saw Jihyo fly across the screen her smiling was more memorable imo.

Which fans. You were using Itzy against aespa :deadbanana2:

Song was released several months ago, but seems on trend today.

I guess they've been performing it at appearances and stuff, but no fans, no fancams.

NMIXX :bibliahh:

Truly the JYP saviour. Their sunbaenims (Twice, SKZ, Itzy) could never :cm:

Quote

NMIXX made waves when they sailed onto the scene with "O.O," a thrilling mishmash of baile funk, pop-rock guitar riffs, and big bass synths. They call it "MIXX POP," or the blend of multiple genres in one song. The dissonance between verses proved polarizing for listeners: It's loud and abrasive, the K-pop equivalent of a Sour Patch Kid; It's also the year's most ambitious release. K-pop's tremendous global expansion over the past few years has led to a surplus of acts and a lot of sameness. “O.O” is a bold introduction to a group that, by design, will never bore you. In today's pop landscape, that counts for a lot.

That is true, but I think it's more Gaon/Circle not being updated by the company/slow to verify the shipments.

It has only started happening in the last year or so, so I think maybe they are struggling more with the much higher amounts of sales these days.

These days though, sajaegi is probably slightly more possible in situations where there is a huge gap (like 500/600k+ sales) between Gaon/Circle and Hanteo. Because the sales gap often isn't covered by any other charts. Except maybe Billboard in the U.S. (if relevant) but even then the pure sales numbers never usually bridge the gap. Of course not all stores are on Hanteo though, so there's that too.

It's probably why a lot of the big companies are announcing their pre-orders now. It's not only for mediaplay, but to slow down any sajaegi accusations if the company is officially reporting it.

The KPOP show on Broadway is closing after only 2 weeks of regular performances :deadbanana2:Luna can't catch a break with her career :deadbanana2:

I don't know why they thought it would have an audience, the usual broadway-going crowd of tourists and rich people don't care about K-pop :deadbanana2:Honestly even as a K-pop fan it looked very boring and unappealing. A musical written for no one I fear

As a kpop fan, there's nothing more unappealing than the thought of a kpop broadway musical :rip:

What was the plot/concept of the musical.  Because other than Crayon Pop's origin story and Burning Sun, the story of kpop is generally burdensome tales of rich guys avoiding taxes and the rich kids wanting even more attention.  So relatable.

mimiirose, limelight, nature and billlie probably on the disband lineup. None of them belong to big agency and they're basically the only group their agency had:giraffe:

Billlie? :ahh:

Yeah, it's none of those examples because the agencies of those groups have demonstrated to be so pro-idol rights that they must be resented by the other SME idol agencies.

The clue that's confusing is when she recognizes that the agency is working really hard to make them famous.  That immediately eliminates a lot of suspects.

Hey, does Blackswan have any Japanese girls? :toofunny2:

Poor Luna. f(x) has had so many misfortune/difficulties with their careers, I guess sometimes it just doesn't work out the best way.

Seulgi must thank the universe these days that she was cut from the group.

Luna is just not born to be a star even though she's extremely talented

And the exact opposite can be said about several Kpop it girls

Luna and Krystal deserved better than fx.

A Kpop Broadway show seems like a bad idea tho. I'm impressed it was actually done. :rip:

Too bad for Luna. She deserves better. :katie:
