Do you guys not understand visual appearances are subjective :skull: Just because you think every girl in a group is pretty doesn’t mean everyone has to :deadbanana4:

There’s no point in arguing against visuals because it’s not a fact and impossible to be.

“Xxx has no visual holes but xxx does”

Sounds so stupid when you try and force it as a fact when it’s not.

It’s one thing to call someone not attractive or basic looking but calling idols visual holes is mean especially these people are hiding their faces behind idols‘ pfp. :coffee2:

Le Sserafim feels kinda fresh and interesting I enjoyed their song & MV

At least its not futuristic girl crush noise #455 (I say that as an Aespa fan)

Posted

For me, Le Sserafim are very style heavy, and the substance is lacking. The concept is so well-refined and executed that it kind of overshadows the other aspects.

All the ingredients are there, though. Their performance skills look sharp and unique (integrating Kazuha's ballet training into the choreo is already being done), and the music is okay but not anything to write home about.

Their next 2 comebacks will hopefully allow them to show a little bit more. tbh a lot of people should be scared of their impact

I agree the terminology is mean, but I’m just saying it’s stupid to try and convince someone that xxx is pretty. They are… to you. That doesn’t mean they will be to me.

Saying things like xxx has no visual holes like xxx isn’t a fact. It’s just an opinion so I really wish people in this thread would stop acting like their opinions on visuals are facts :rip:

Not sure about this statement since both are "inspired" by SNSD

And there's definitely a visual hole in TWICE :celestial5:

Hyoyeon & Sunny were lashed by Knetz for being "visual holes", pretty sure even Sooyoung got her fair share of lashings. I don't necessarily agree with then but sheep are so hypocritical jesus :deadbanana2:

You would have to be very delusional to think every idol nowdays isn't at least above average in looks comparing to the regular person. Very weird behaviour to be using visual hole as a drag and making beauty standards even more unattainable, especially when it's a bunch of men talking about women.

Not really a fan of SNSD visuals

I only like Jessica and Yuri

AOA and 9Muses were the best

LE MISSERABLE definetely not coming for IVE (at least with their debut) But whew the girls has so much charisma, star power and potential. Especially the one with the short hair. I loved the gym set. Feel like the 4th gen GG needs to step up their games groups like Itzy, Everglow, Aespa feels dated after IVE and Le Sserafim.

I think it's normal to talk about which idols you think are particularly gorgeous, but let's leave the discussion of 'ugly' people or visual holes to the K-Netz, shall we ladies? It's not cute

I just find weird that we all collectively acknowledge there's a big problem with the K-pop industry (that is motivated and includes particularly the history of misogyny in SK) yet here every day there are some people who are actively participating in it just to drag groups and idols that they just don't like. I obviously don't mean the usual comments about the music/performances or whatever but the vile and mean ones that are just beyond the music. Visual hole is a gross term.

And you think some certain 4th gen idols are not lashed by netizens for being visual holes? Even in this very thread? :deadbanana:

If you think there's none visual hole in 4th gen groups then there's none in SNSD, KARA, A Pink etc. either

And that's literally my point that Idols have always been pretty. Like coming for 2nd gen visual is not it :deadbanana:

Oh of course you have to quote that part to stir **** when i'm literally responding to a post saying there're visual holes in every 2nd and 3rd gen groups...

Chaewon leader, main slayer & center; she’ll definitely be the first of them to get a solo :alexz2:

Sakura sales, beautiful gowns. I hear her improvements coming through on Sour Grapes though.  :gaycatina1:

Yunjin sickening, main vocal and another slayer. Waiting on her high note moment but who knows when that’ll happen :giraffe:

Kazuha main dancer teas, not completely sold on the rapping but definitely a server tho :gaydonnacat1:

Garam has a great vocal color and I see why HYBE paid the bullying rumors dust; she actually brings a lot to the group. Still would have made more sense for her to be the maknae and they find another adult at least :coffee2:

Eunchae is not all that bad though but very much the Shuhua/Vivi/Gauel of her group. She doesn’t really fit the vibe but she makes it work.  She’ll probably improve the most after the first few comebacks. I imagine the younger two have been in Hybe’s dungeon for too long if they were ready to debut with this lineup

Let me introduce you to ICHILLIN, doing what NIZiU needed to continue doing, but doing it better:

I don’t give a **** if someone said either 2nd gen or 3rd gen idols were average looking or less visually striking than the others, but you’re wrong for using the term “visual hole”. Literally all nine of twice members are visually striking and beautiful. So there’s that.

This 'visual' talk is always so frustrating to me because most of you seem to gate-keep it to physical appearance only when if fact there's so much more to somebody being visually appealing :dies:

99% of idols are better looking than the average person no doubt, but that's just simply not enough to make a great visual imo especially since that's mostly subjective.

Half of it is about the way you carry yourself, the way you present yourself and how you take advantage and work your charm.

Look at Kyungri, who is one of if not the best to ever do it. Not only is she insanely gorgeous but carries herself in a way that is so alluring. Look at her posture in any frame, the way she moves her fingers, the way she tilts her chin to give 'the look'. So soft, elegant and very feminine yet so confident, sexual and intimidating at the same time. All of that works in her strenght a lot because she has this feline-like facial features and body lines.

Being a visual is an ART. Other great examples are Bora, Hani, Hara, Seolhyun to name a few.

Being good looking is just that. Good looks. And most idols serve those.

I’m glad we can all agree that IVE won tho :bam:
