I feel like the riggory of Produce48 was the reason why IZ*ONE survived that since some of the real fan favorites of the show didn't make it to the group and the fans learnt how to compromise that until the end

 

GP666 final group was basically rely on solo stans votes i think, that's why Kep1er's akgaes is way more noticeable than the previous groups imo

Some of these replies... 

IZ*ONE was literally one of the few new-gen group that actually had its own sound, and many of their tracks go from good to amazing imo.

 

Panorama took the Violeta-FIESTA formula and perfected it, which is why I think it's their best track.

 

Notable mentions are definitely SPACESHIP, Airplane, Toshishita Boyfriend, Rococo, O Sole Mio and Gokigen Sayonara.

 

(imo) La Vie En Rose was and remains one of their worst tracks in general and their worst title track, it's faceless and goes nowhere.

 

Violeta was definitely the turning point of the group in terms of developing its identity.

 

As a HUGE fan of IZ*ONE, my only complain is that I wish the group had some anthemic 48-like songs like AKB48's Heavy Rotation, at least among their Japanese material.

 

Also, I wonder if LIGHTSUM's VIVACE was ever recorded by IZ*ONE as a demo or something, it's so on brand and it would have been a perfect follow-up to Panorama.

@Dialamba @Narima It’s quite clear Wakeone despises the girl, but her fans need to stop blaming the other girls for her lack of lines/screen-time.

Ice Cream looks very expensive and nice but imo it's just oversaturated with pink and cuteness. It's just not Blackpink's style at all. Definitely one of their worst ones with not much replay value

It’s obvious Mnet/Wakeone didn’t want her but since they couldn’t rig the lineup they have to deal with her it’s funny how her fans think just because she was the most popular she would’ve gotten the most screen time and lines (she deserves better she improved)  but they aren’t gonna push the weakest link let’s be serious

High budgets mv are overhyped sometimes cheap music videos are better.

Loco, not shy and mafia seem to be itzy’s most expensive music videos but it doesn’t have the same replay values as wannabe or dalla dalla.

IZ*ONE discography discourse? Is this really happening?

Song structure and melody aside, Panorama and Fiesta (among many others) have some really beautiful/uplifting lyrics that ifans miss out on and I think its one of the reasons why they were so much more popular in Korea than worldwide

This is their best song btw

Good point. I remember the Nako squadron started to revolt when it looked like she was going to get low line/screen distribution before BloomIZ was supposed to come out, all the fights died out real quick once the articles about the Produce PD arrest started to drop  Definitely a growing moment for the fandom to have to defend the group's existence for 3 months straight during the blackout, thinking that it could be over for all of them and all their work had been for nothing. The solo stan fights (besides some Sakura akgaes) went to zero basically for the rest of their contract. 

 

Maybe flopping in Queendom 2 can be Kep1er's character-building crisis moment
