The setlist was so good and the stage/lights were so epic omg. I totally agree! I just saw him in Atlanta and it was incredible and he was amazing. The whole show was just so good.
Moonlight Nation Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 What I'd give to see these two getting live performances... Definitely among my top favourite songs from him outside his albums, and both feature incredible vocals.
Nikko Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Really getting into House of Balloons lately. He's been making stellar music for ages, what a king.
Devin Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 I think he referring to Trilogy’s 10th anniversary.

In the meantime, we have a new collaboration to look forward to on Metro Boomin's upcoming album (set to release on December 2nd). The Weeknd shared the album's trailer a few months ago, which is usually indicator he's featured on the project (further confirmed by Metro liking tweets hyping up the return of trap Abel). We should also be getting the announcement for the European leg of the tour very soon... currently betting on Monday.
Moonlight Nation Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Wishing all fellow Weeknd enthusiasts a happy end of the year! Meanwhile, I thought it was fitting to share this Instagram post honouring Abel's amazing 2022. Some things sadly didn't go as expected, but there were more victories in the long term, and I had a blast stanning him regardless. What were everyone's favourite XO moments this year? My contenders (in no particular order): "Dawn FM" being such an incredible and special project which brought me unfathomable levels of joy and escapism "Die For You" - one of my personal favourite songs from him - gaining an unprecedented resurgence worldwide which led his team to give it a proper single treatment (notably in the US), allowing it to reach further heights and mainstream recognition. The Weeknd headlining Coachella for the second time as a last-minute replacement for Kanye. You guys have no idea how thrilling it was to watch the Weekend 1 livestream as a relatively new fan. It was his first concert to a real audience since late 2018, and his enthusiasm was clearly felt. He was glowing so much Everything about the "After Hours Til Dawn" tour, really. Especially how it ended up being a beautiful success when everyone was eagerly anticipating him to fail. Shout-out to his wholesome friendships with both KAYTRANADA and Mike Dean. The "Dawn FM" music videos were all top-tier too. Particular highlight to the "Out Of Time" one, which is currently my favourite video of the year overall. TikTok reviving "Stargirl Interlude", "I Was Never There", and even the 6-minute "After Hours". "Creepin" Far too many Twitter interactions to count. Him clowning on "Dawn FM" 's underperformance and trying to promote it 10 months later with low effort memes is probably up there, though. Finally, the fact we're likely going to mark the turn of the year with "Blinding Lights" dethroning "Shape Of You" as the most streamed song on Spotify. You love to see it!

Moonlight Nation Posted February 5, 2023 Posted February 5, 2023 Happy After Hours Appreciation Day! 🩸 Such a phenomenal, transcendent album which was blessed to have one of the most unique, immersive, and cohesive rollouts in music history. The era that made me go from casual admirer to passionate enthusiast. If you haven't already, I highly recommend you to check out the instrumentals for the tracks online. There are so many intricate production elements I'm just now discovering. And of course, we cannot mention "After Hours" on this particular date without honouring "Blinding Lights" - a modern masterpiece of a song and future classic in the making. And to think it gets even more powerful in the context of the album, coming after "Faith". Biggest hit in Billboard history (spending more than a year in the top 10), most streamed song on Spotify, and one of the most universally beloved smashes in recent memory, still having strong recurrent presence across the board to this day. A certain borderline racist institution might have done everything in their power to ignore and discredit the excellence of this man's craft, but it's simply another showcase of their corrupt and biased ways. You have no idea how much I respect Abel for choosing to not submit his music anymore after dealing with this humiliation. I wonder if he'll keep up with last year's tradition and pop up on Twitter for random interactions with fans.

The rollout for this was one of the best I've seen, which was especially refreshing coming off of 2019, when eras were being abandoned the day the album dropped. In many ways, my memories of my first year of college and the pandemic will always be interlinked with this album, as well as Future Nostalgia and Hot Pink. (Don't Start Now, BL and Say So smashing at the same time just felt so right.) I'll never forget my first listen of this album. The perfect tracklisting, the stunning production, the pop perfection run that was BL -> IYE -> SYT... Heartless didn't click with me at first, but it made so much sense in the context of the album. And of course, the title track, which left me GAGGED when I first heard it. This is definitely my favorite album of its year, which is saying something, as 2020 was filled with amazing records (Folklore, WYP, Ungodly Hour, Evermore, FN, Sawayama, etc.). I still wish he had given the era some closure with a Faith video instead of rushing TMB, but that's a minor complaint. Experiencing the AH era will always be one of my favorite stan moments, and I'm so glad he didn't delay the record because of the pandemic. TL;DR: Father.
West Coast Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Quote The Weeknd later explained that he was originally working on an album inspired by the depressive state he was in during the COVID-19 pandemic, but scrapped the project because it was "emotionally detrimental" and began working on Dawn FM I’m so sad we never got this his sad songs hit HARD
