I want TS10 to have a proper rollout so I'm willing to wait until she's done with the re-recordings

And, I mean, what does she even really need “legit hits” for anymore when she’s absolutely stomping all of the hitmakers without them?

She's currently very popular, so having big hits is not really important currently in order for her to have big albums. But it will become more and more important as time goes by and she either stop releasing as much or simply decline naturally. Just as we can see for all the artists with an old catalogue, the hits are where 90% of the stream bulk is. This means that she'll need those if she want to sustain healthy SPS once she's really passed her glory days success wise.

But who else would give him more money than Taylor? He's kind a has been in 2022 and as far as I know this year his only production credit will be on Lizzos newest album.

He produced Dawn FM with The Weeknd, although that project turned out to be a commercial dud

So some of you think the re-recordings aren't continuing and she's just jumping to TS10 now? Why? Why would the trademarks have been cleared recently then :skull:

We don't know for certain but I don't think she would ever swerve away from her intended goal of re-recording everything unless she was able to buy the masters outright

The trademarks were asked when she released fearless tv, they just approve now, which has nothing to do with Taylor. Nobody think she is going to dump re-recordings, but losing her moment now with them would be a bit silly, indeed everyone who is touring is smashing and she hasn’t tour in 5 years. She can release re-recordings in any moment, she doesn’t make campaign for them, so even if she release TS10 and tour she could release next tv version while touring, because apparently she could have recorded already some of them.

Put in risk her future in orden to protect her past maybe is not the savy decision

Didn’t she just fulfilled her contract with UMG for new albums?

I think she will have to fulfill her new publishing deal, which may have included the re-recordings to be completed first.

She’s booked and busy. :skull:

All the re-recordings MUST be number 1 on BB200 at least as long as Lover did.

Pruds (puta haters), we need logical explanation with the hate on Miss So It Goes…

All Too Well has been invalidated by the 10 minute version.

MTR is overrated.

It’s because when she picks her singles, she decides based on the narrative she wants to push rather than its hit potential. Basically all of her singles since Look have either been (1) PR statements to spark discourse and influence people’s perception of her or (2) “songwriter” songs that were pushed hard for SOTY.

Delicate was a fluke, honestly. It perfectly walked the tight rope of being a song that was both topical and songwriterly, whilst also being good single material. She hasn’t found that balance again. I do think the 1 or exile would’ve been bigger than cardigan, but that song was an even more transparent SOTY attempt than her desperate push for Lover (which is silly because the 1 or exile would still have gotten a SOTY nom and lost to I Can’t Breathe, while exile would’ve gotten a ROTY nom and might’ve even won).

And, I mean, what does she even really need “legit hits” for anymore when she’s absolutely stomping all of the hitmakers without them?

I’ve always been a bit skeptical of her intention to write for others, just because of how rarely she actually does it.

Better Man and Babe were both leftovers that she gave to country artists long after she’d left the genre. Interestingly, Little Big Town and Sugarland are both acts that crossover but those two singles were confined strictly to country formats. It’s almost like Taylor didn’t want them competing with own material on pop formats. (It’s also very interesting that she gave Babe to Sugarland basically as a favor to Big Machine, since it was their “comeback” song after signing to the label; she really subtweeted Scott Borchetta with the whole “you wouldn’t want me to be the one that got away (from Big Machine), would you?”). :dies:

And then of course, who even knows what the situation is with TIWYCF. Did Taylor write it for Calvin and let him do what he wanted with it? Did she write it for herself and then choose to give it away? Was it an experimentation of a possible EDM sound for TS6?

No she basically has nothing to prove anymore.

But this doesn't mean she should waste her opportunities especially when the GP is PERCHED for her songs.

Ans yes we need to know what happened with TIWCF. The whole situation is weird.

Remember that undisputed dinner with Rihanna? She must be luring her for a collab for reputation.

It doesn't suck but it is not her best.  Even self titled is more listenable.

There are like 5 people who could release an album that might actually challenge a Taylor release and (unless they intentionally schedule their album to come out on the same day to drum up controversy like some artists) I think Taylor will be able to steer very clear of them

I don't see her announcing anything until next month (13th?). The next thing we'll be getting is probably the Carolina track, and then a re-recording announcement. I highly doubt she's steering away from the usual rollouts for these re-recordings.

Since when did I speak for all the puta stans? Let alone, one person for the rest of the group with common interest.
