Actually the only album I had listened to in full (and on repeat) before evermore was Speak Now, in 2015 (and I had completely forgotten about it, I only noticed it by looking at my AM Replay of that year).

It's just so pleasing that she gets the respect she deserves. I have always had high hopes for her, even in the awful 2016-2018 era. That was such a hard time to be a fan because it was just so f*cking  unfair. And there's nothing I hate more than disrespect and unfairness. I will never forgive The Guardian for this editorial for example, never unless they apologize, but they never did.

I almost feel like a "it was about time" and I only became a Swiftie in early 2021, I wonder what it feels like for OG Swifties.

anyways, this to say that this entire thing feels very surreal. having experienced all her other peaks and moments where she already felt massive, it’s like my mind literally can’t grasp it. at the same time it’s also satisfying to see people discovering songs that have been there for years

 

I’m from Switzerland so my biggest indicator (like you I imagine) is the people around me. I’ve seen soooo many friends and old high school classmates who made fun of me for liking her back then suddenly being into her. 

 

idk if people from the base know but i’m also a MASSIVE Gaga stan. I don’t engage much at the moment because she retired ddd, but if you had told me 10 years ago how their careers would evolve I wouldn’t have believed you

Yeah I imagine that after 1989, no one would believe she'd be so much bigger later on in her career. Especially after all the **** that unfolded in 2015/2016
