I don't think she's in love with Travis as much she wants the world/Joe to believe...

which is why I believe the new record will touch on the most important parts of their relationship that led to the break up, and we'll see if she's gonna be honest about her feelings about these rebounds or not... it wouldn't shock me if she's single by the time it is out and writes a The One That Got Away'd smash about the Loser muse. I expect many songs about being drunk and unable to move on, how true love is impossible for someone like her, etc. It could be her most mature album to date.

:suburban:

That would be depressing as hell. Nah, Taylor isn't the type to linger, you're projecting.

She was depressed as hell while making Red and that was her most intense break up at the time, I don't think it would be surprising if trying to make things work out with Joe for years made her feel miserable for a long time, and trying to get over him with new guys might not work for now... Not to say she's not gonna get over him, but I expect it to be a journey about the struggles she went through with the relationship falling apart and the breakup, and by the end of the album we might get something like "Clean", showing that she's over it and has learned some new lessons about love. She has everything career-wise, but is she truly happy now? I feel like that kind of question might go through that head a lot these days.

I think some people expect her to go the Lover-route with Travis but I don't see it happening that soon :deadbanana: if she does and he's good for her, then great! But idk if that's possible after such a long time with the same person, which is a first for her.

The same swifties who will buy anything with her name on it now being the ones trying to send her to the Marxist guillotine for her net worth is so funny to me, like babe the call is coming from inside the house!

Nah. She's not someone who will focus on the past. Never was and never will. She's always looking forward and doesn't linger in the past. It doesn't take her ages to move on.

I mean what’s the solution supposed to be? Jeff Bezos has horrible work conditions, underpays staff, and commits a lot of shady business practices like promoting their own brand of products over others. Taylor is getting $100 million just from us listening to Spotify, is she supposed to say “sorry I can’t accept this?” 💀

Sis the entire premise of Midnights is her ruminating over the things that still keep her up at night :deadbanana2:

In Labyrinth she literally says how much she hates how people expect her to quickly bounce back after something bad happens to her :deadbanana2:

I know ms swift will be unwrapping feels about Joe and the breakup for a long time and what better way to explore those feelings than through some rock music? :coffee:

Yup, yup everyone saying she is so evil and taycapitalist blah blah but they can't stop themselves from buying her crap merch, her boyfriend's football jersey, etc. :biblio: it's funny and sad how they act like this is a MoRaL DiLeMMa for them :rip:

Yes. They have the EXACT same discourse/narrative, and they joined ATRL right after JaXXon (or whatever their username was) was banned.

Okay so I don’t know if this theory has been discussed before but I kind of wonder if the thirteen tracks shared on the original edition of Midnights were what she felt comfortable sharing regarding her relationship/ personal life, etc. at the time and the reason why the 3AM tracks exist is because it was already too late to change the physical copies.

I think Midnights is one of her most chaotic albums, `cause she was going through a tough time (since YLM was recorded in the same time with other tracks), she was going back and forth, putting her feelings for Joe into the songs, but not making them as explicit as possible and marking them as flashbacks in her career. The reason why YLM wasn't on the record is she didn't know at the time she approved the tracklist whether they will broke up for the last time, or some cure would come through in the last second. MAybe she was writing the album originally about Joe, but then decided that this album will be about not only about him and started writing songs about others (like WCS), but it was too out of place and she didn't know where to put it. Actually, If we think about how tough their relationship were during the time she recorded Midnights, Mastermind don't look like a good closer track, Dear Reader is much better. And then she put there Hits Different to close it. And THEN, when Joeover happened, she put out YLM, marked it as (From The Vault) song, which was a big signal that we didn't catch somehow that he was losing her already before she finished the album.
So the timeline is broken and hard to catch, that's why the album is chaotic and ends with YLM which is the song she wrote in the begining of Midnights sessions.

Most marxists are hypocrites tbh. Just shut up tbh and let people buy whatever they want, mind your own damn business.
