Not you erasing IDWLF from map. If Shape of you wasn’t released along with it, it would’ve gone #1 everywhere.

It’s a smash, but not a classic Taylor Swift song like the listed ones.

the true snubbery on the list was the Teardrops On My Guitar + Our Song smashery!

She really launched her pop career with two back to back all time classics :deadbanana4:

YBWM is one of the most effortlessly catchy songs of this century :deadbanana4: I don’t think she’ll ever top it

i thought theres more swifties here but our base is virtually a cemetery where folks casually drop by to express thoughts and then leave until the next occasion :rip:

how come it has less pages than g*g* and b*ys base thread :gaycatx:

Most bases discuss everything in one thread because their fav is not really doing anything else.  Meanwhile there are always like 3-4 active Taylor mega threads open that we are split across.  Like the midnights thread was the defacto base for 6 months.

That's because we have the CS thread, the SN TV thread, the 1989 TV thread, the Eras Tour thread, the Taylor x Travis thread and all the numerous threads created about her daily

i mean, at least we should use base thread for album discussions, since dedicated threads will be closed anyway. in here, everything stays til the end.

i wouldnt say b*y is doing nothing, her stans just use the base more than dedicated threads, which will be swarmed by "other fanbases" :chick1:

I was not speaking specifically about Beyoncé. Mostly just other bases in general like Gaga, Rihanna, Ariana.

This, we’ve always primarily split our time between here and whatever the current album thread is. It’s basically been that way since Lover, but really started heavy during Folklore. I suspect if she ever actually does slow down a bit, we’ll just stay in here like all the other bases.

11 years later, what’s the general opinion on IKYWT?

I kinda don’t like it now :skull: it’s just there for me (wish she would remove it from the set list as well)

It’s still classic and continues being solid. :marshmallow:

A classique that will remain on every set list until she retires.

I was never that big of a fan tbh. I like the other MM singles better and it doesn't come close to the excellence of the Fearless classics

These are not bigger smash than IDWLF.

It’s still cute, but over the years there’s some live versions I’ve come to much prefer. It’s definitely one of her classics, though.

And surely you mean the 1989 tour version with the sustained e flat belt and the rock instrumentation and the sultry vocals :gaycat4:

The way I've been consistently let down by her not doing the note in basically every performance of the song since then :gaycat6:

I get her not doing it on Eras because she’s already singing so much, but otherwise…yeah. I’m still disappointed she didn’t do it at the AMAs in 2019, and that seems so insignificant now. :deadbanana2:

I was so rooting for it on the GRAMMYs but it’s not fresh anymore.

The chorus melody is still superb though.
