Selenasworld Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I finished it definitely a documentary with purpose but still with a bitter taste knowing Selena will keep struggling with lupus for life

MonsterNavy Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 the amount of times I cried this was amazing but as a fan I always knew these things happening to her behind the scenes, this documentary was just confirmation of it. i'm glad she released this for the public to know her more and help people who are struggling too. i'm happy she's genuinely in a better place now and you can see she's not faking it tbh. I love her so much she also said she wanted this to be out so it'll be out and out of the way. now on to new music and era we go!
StarsAllAligned Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 It was nice, definitely felt way too short though. Like someone else said, the transition from Revival to 2019 was.... all we really got was a few minutes of tour, it was mainly 2019 and a few short clips from early 2020. We need the 3 hour directors cut now!!

MonsterNavy Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 one thing though, the revival era truly was everything. the revival era clips were just too damn good and iconic. the album, the tour, the outfits and her fashion, her beauty peak (she's always beautiful but everyone has peak) but its sad that her being in her peak on everything (beauty, body, career etc) she was at her worst personally and mentally.
Selenasworld Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Btw MM&M is #5 on TTH, we forgot about the song lol, higher than Rihanna

I need the 3hour director's cut now!!
selena_lavigne Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 the documentary was so stunning and worthwhile and i'm so happy it exists
handstomyseIf Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 i loved the doc but the revival tour gold dress with the skirt thing was an absolute SERVE!

La Luna Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) The doc is beautiful, raw, sad and inspirational. So Selena. I cried so much. I have so many thoughts rn, i don't even know what to say. The Revival tour... wow, i can't believe how much she suffered while pretending to be happy to the fans. We enjoyed that damn era so much, without knowing how much she was struggling. The way she was talking about herself, ughh so painful to watch. So happy she is not in that place anymore. Also, Raquelle really surprised me, maybe she is a better friend than i thought. Selena is so strong. i'm so glad she is still here with us. She's one in a million. Edited November 4, 2022 by La Luna

I came away with such a different view of Raquelle. She really is nice and puts up with so much crap

Sure, sometimes she does some dumb sh*t, but overall, she's a good friend and honestly cares about Selena. I undestand this now. Edited November 4, 2022 by La Luna
La Luna Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 When MM&M get a nom for Song for Social Change, then what?
Selenasworld Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Rare Beauty impact found was also nominated for webby awards i think
StarsAllAligned Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 TikTok is eating Raquelle all the way up, I’ve seen at least 5 virals posts pop up on my fyp dragging her to shreds my cousin literally just asked me irl have I watched the doc and who Raquelle is, I said she’s Selena’s friend and my cousin was like no she’s a *bleep* so I’m assuming she’s seen some similar posts.

Raquelle is dumb**** I know she helped Selena but as I already said anyone in world could have do it instead

I don't understand why. She actually seemed so nice and held back when Selena snapped at her for no reason
ricocheting Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 (edited) so after watching the documentary, i have mixed feelings about this raquelle girl, i only knew her as someone close to selena, but is she really that good since the doc painted her as a loyal friend while fans are slandering and dragging her. plus, is she hailey's friend too? i saw some comments on twitter but not sure. Bhabylon Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 The doc made me respect Raquelle a lot more I found her annoying on the cooking show, but just the fact that she was always there for the low points and was always helping ground Selena was nice to see

Sad Serenade Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 I literally can't wait for the new album. In my opinion Rare was more personal than Revival so it was a step in the right way. She will be very busy on set next year: Only Murders and the new movie in the first half of the year and then (maybe) In The Shadow. The music might come in Summer but that's ok, she's working on it and it will be very personal.
lauren198 Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Since Selena + Chef I don't mind Raquelle anymore. I think she's just a harmless airhead I didn't watch the docu yet, too busy with studies this weekend, but I loved the song
