La Luna Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) I'm not worried about promo. Apple's payola campaign never miss. They did a great job for Billie's doc. Waiting the same for Selena Edited November 2, 2022 by La Luna
La Luna Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) Ughh i knew it, the doc feels too short. Why they changed the original lenght? whyyyyy? I'm fuming. I hope this don't mess up with the score too much. Edited November 2, 2022 by La Luna
MALAMENTE Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Alek and Selena address the length of the doc in one of the interviews. I understand why they did it but I think 1h and 35 minutes is not enough for a docu that covers 6 years (even though 2017 and 2018 get glossed over). Can’t wait to see her at the premiere!

selena_lavigne Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Happy to see she is talking about the new album!! Can’t wait to see what she’s been creating.
StarsAllAligned Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Another review, with another mention of it being too short
La Luna Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 (edited) woooo fancy I hope she doesn't skip the red carpet. I mean, she can't do that, right? lol Edited November 2, 2022 by La Luna
Selenasworld Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Some selenators are bashing the documentary for being short length but isn't about her personal life for shure has some footage for context but that's it this documentary tell a story about Selena's journey with her mental health, maybe she isn't prepared to share a lot of her life or she feels is not important right now
Bhabylon Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Got bored and felt like starting a mess today
MALAMENTE Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 The reviews are all positive so far, although one thing they criticize is how it still feels curated and doesn't show all her secrets or whatever. Like, they should be forreal. Did they think she was gonna share everything and put it out to the world? Of course she was gonna choose what to show. The only critique I agree with (of course I haven't seen the doc yet) is that it is a bit too short.
MALAMENTE Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 (edited) SHE HAS COVERED ROLLING STONE! FINALLY Edited November 3, 2022 by MALAMENTE
La Luna Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 Aaaa finally RS cover. She's so beautiful. A doll tbh The interview got me crying, is so honest and raw. She deserves the best.
jxbuggie Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 So many revealing things in the rolling Stone story. I hope other outlets keep them up. A lot of quotes already going semi-viral on Twitter.

FINALLY This interview is her best one and the most insight into the struggles she’s overcome and all I can is say is what a resilient and beautiful soul she is; I hope everyone reads it in full.
MALAMENTE Posted November 3, 2022 Posted November 3, 2022 This makes me believe they submitted the song to different organizations before being out. Really interesting! Let’s see how and where it goes.
Euterpe Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I work in mental health, and I appreciate hearing the reflections of someone who went through an intensive time and the fact that she's putting her mental health first. I'm really glad she's willing to be so open.
hardbrit Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) Watching right now. She served BEAUTY during Revival omg what a beautiful queen EDIT: her team are such YES people and don't get me started on her friends. What promotion did she do for RARE? Her asking for time off sis you performed once EDIT 2: When she SNAPPED at Raquelle for no reason I- She complains that the questions that were asked were too dumb/simple, then proceeds to complain that the questions on the other interview were too deep. GIRL PICK A STRUGGLE Her team are a yes team because she complains 24/7 omg I STAN HER always, but whewww she is HARD She is so sad and broken. As much as I love her, this industry isn't for her. aquababy Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I ran to see the doc, it feels unreal with his long we’ve known she’s been filming this to finally be able to see it I was definitely tearing up a bit it felt so weird seeing the behind the scenes moments of things we’ve only seen publicly especially with how private she is I have some thoughts (that I would put in a spoiler but this site is broken) so if you don’t want anything spoiled then ignore I didn’t mind the length and I thought it wrapped up nicely. my main thing was that the shift from the revival tour cancelation in 2016 to her bipolar diagnosis in 2019 like 20 minutes in was pretty jarring imo. I don’t think any casual viewers would pick up as strongly on it, but as a fan you know just how much you missed from 2017 and 2018. I don’t mind the 2018 exclusion so much since she was literally going through psychosis as she revealed in that rolling stone interview today, and as a fan it was so obvious that 2018 was probably the worst year for her. but I did wish we saw some of 2017, she had some of her biggest commercial and critical highs that year in her career but still had to deal with her transplant, I feel like 2017 was a big turning point for her so it would’ve been nice to see some of it but she wasn’t filming that year also that rare promo tour was I mean wbk she hated every minute of it but actually seeing it was something. It was kind of hard to watch, I think her team needs to realize that that kind of stuff isn’t for her and should focus on other methods, like good fan interaction goes a long way but I digress. It was also sad to see her going through her flare up in 2020, it’s crazy how busy she still kept herself during that year though and with the pandemic at that. I was also hoping to get some revelacion moments thrown in there, but I’m assuming it was too late. like the virtual studio sessions would have been interesting to see, even if for a brief moment (baila conmigo playing towards the end was nice though) anyway I loved the doc and it’s a must watch I think it was really well directed too given all the things it covered so Alek was a great choice

The begging had me SHOOK to the bone, the Revival era discussion. WHEWW I was shocked
Bhabylon Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Seeing the diva jump out of her is so shocking and kinda a kii since I only know her for being sweet and kind
