It’s clear nobody in here watched the rest of the interview.

:rip:

• She literally said she has new music coming. She literally spoke about the new creative mindset she’s in, musically, and how she’s in the midst of preparing that for her new music.

• There are credible sources speaking on how she’s touring next year and there are credible rumours about her, potentially, doing various festivals.

• It’s obvious that we’re not getting anything R9-related until the Super Bowl or a little after which is what we speculated anyway.

I don’t understand the meltdowns. Jesus Christ.

She was probably talking about LMU. Those interviews happened on Oct 16, 2022.

We shall see. But if she really waited 7 years to make a musical comeback at the SB without a new album to release... :rip:

R9 is not coming. I’m pissed but we lowkey had a feeling.

The tour is probably not gonna happen either

She has to be saying this to throw us off because there's no way she's serious. :rip:

She’s unsure about touring so I don’t think that’s happening

She also mentioned in another video that she kept delaying her answer for the Super Bowl. Everything is so last minute with her.

She gave birth in May. The Super Bowl is in February.

Can you or anyone else provide a realistic timeline in which R9 fits in between these dates? Keep in mind that:

1. Lift Me Up was just released.

2. Assume that R9 is not complete

3. Holiday months are coming, Thanksgiving/Christmas (as a first time mom, obviously means less work time)

4. Super Bowl rehearsals need to take place

The Super Bowl and Marvel were unplanned and came at a wrong time for those who are “charts-centered” and it’s best to start making peace with it. :bird:

I’m so pissed off right now. If there’s no new music in 2023 then…

I don't mind if the album weren't to come out in the next 3 months or so, what's kinda wild is that it sounds like there's no album to release. She's been gone for 7 years, and she chose to "come back" with the Superbowl of all things. Again, we shall see what happens, but it's definitely a choice if there's no album coming out soon after the halftime show.

I agree with all of this! But wasnt this interview a few weeks b4 Lift me up? I read it was done in Oct so dont you think she is implying the new music is LMU?

To be fair, I am upset that she doesn’t prioritize music at all. She stating in the interview that she started working on SavagexFenty days after giving birth is not it. :biblio:

Save your coins girls for the February Valentine panty line-up.

We gotta hope she pulls a Beyoncè 2013, SB and then album at the end of the year. It's clear that R9 isn't anywhere close to being done. We know she's fast and always records last minute but we also know how busy her schedule is. Thoughts and prayers Navys, back to the drought we go

You know I always keep it positive but this interview is from before LMU, if I'm not wrong. So she was definitely referring to that. At this point I do not think there's anything coming before to the SB. Second half of the year? Maybe.

I was hoping for a lead single before SB...that being said, this interview just confirms that there is no new music before the SB. The fact that she's being coy about touring makes me think she is definitely planning on drop the album sometime after the SB...maybe Summer or Q3

Bye. ?

I really cannot understand the navy lately...

Insane how you guys jump into conclusions.

How you get influenced by other fanbases.

How you even ignore new music from your fave (even if you don't like it... You got new music)

How you can criticize her image (after giving birth just months ago)

How you can do EVERYTHING but support your 'supposed fave'.

Insane.

Those words are before LMU was released.

She had to keep her words limited.

There's no more reading into it.

Point blank

Este. Sería ridículo no aprovechar la super bowl para traer música nueva. ¿Ha habido algún artista que no haya presentado música nueva en su superbowl?

Creo que Shakira y JLo no tuvieron musica nueva? :michael:

A lot of artists do not release new music before the Superbowl.

Before knowing about LMU we already talked about how we thought if she would or wouldn't release new music before the SB...

A lot of people stated that the first performance after the hiatus should be there at the SB and that a new song wouldn't have space with all of the hits she already has.

And that is what is happening...

Nothing is pointing that she is not releasing new music... She said that the superbowl doesn't have anything to do with releasing new music.

We wanted her focused on doing an amazing show, and rehearsing and putting the best show possible...

But now that she said that... Then it's a problem.

We want new music... But when it's not a #1 huge club-banger we don't want it...

I mean there is no understanding anything.

Of course I want new music. I want albums... But I also understand what she is saying. I mean cmon

Hello Navy! I just wanted to pop in here and say I'm sorry, I know it's a bit of a roller-coaster for you guys but hang in there. I'm hive and I rarely visit this site (only bey base during album season) but I was looking forward for new riri music. I loved Lift me up cuz I missed her voice so much. I know some other things have been tough and when I saw that interview clip I really thought of y'all.

Don't worry tho. Rihanna will come out on top in the end. Lift me up is actually excellent. And between Superbowl and whatever she has planned next, it'll all be good.

Look at the bright side, she isn't at a stage in her music career where she puts out music just for the sake of putting out music. She clearly now cares much more about the actual quality and making a solid album (anti was proof too). So I'd say trust her process. It doesn't matter if a song is a hit or not, what matters is rihanna's artistic journey and I know she must be feeling the immense pressure too.

Well I just wanted to hop in here to spread some love. Hang in there, alls well that ends well. And riri will deliver when the time comes.

Till then, I think that the Superbowl not being a musical comeback (new album) is a good thing cuz she can focus fully on the show and choosing from her incredible number of bops that I bet the world is thirsty to revisit!
