tootight49 Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Amazing how Debut is her most successful era yet paid dust just like Emotions & Music Box :(
suburbannature Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 She really made herself look like a fool with this trademark stunt. Glad it was denied so she can focus on making an album. Sick of her.
Ibrahim Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 If anyone gets overwhelmed with the discog rates, I made a Google Sheets tool that makes it easier. I posted this in that thread, too - copypasta-ing here: ----- I always find these rankings tedious because I find it too difficult to figure out how to rank them if I just listen and write my list down as I hear it. So I made it easier for myself: I made a Google Sheet that permutates all possible Track-VS-Track combinations and I get to choose which track I prefer over the other. In the end, it counts up how many times I picked a song over another track and outputs the ranking automatically. Enter the track list in column B Rank the songs one on one in column E See Results in Column J The doc is not designed for everyone to use it at the same time, but you can make a copy of it in your account and use it to help rank your songs when you eventually start listening to each album.
Thinking Of You Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 I know she did not actually set up lighting, put on makeup, got her hair done, and laid on that couch like that to show that her song was in The Crown
Thinking Of You Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 I wonder if we’ll ever get minimalistic Mariah back.
tootight49 Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 Weird that this ended up a story on the BBC. Stock Merry Christmas, Sony. Promo.
suburbannature Posted November 16, 2022 Posted November 16, 2022 She's so dumb for applying for that just to sell some merch. Whatever.

suburbannature Posted November 17, 2022 Posted November 17, 2022 I have to say - even as a Mary J. Blige fan - it's frustrating to watch her be nominated for that many Grammys for an album that has a 75 on MC and peaked at #14 when Caution (82 and #5) was paid absolute dust. Those stats don't matter, but I bring them up to show that Caution flopping commercially was irrelevant to its Grammy shutout. And you could say Mary has a couple more Grammys and snubbing Moo is par for the court, but it's MJB's first AOTY nom. Our girl continually disrespected, and continues to be with media outlets jumping on this QoC trademark.
