Damn I didn't know that, I just looked it up In the end, it's good what happened cause maybe that would've meant that their Yes album would've been different and I love that album (and 4 Minutes was the first Madonna song I liked). But damn, PSB got screwed over in 2006/07 with Warner and Parlophone both asking them to produce for Madonna and Kylie, only to leave them on read.

Glad he saved EY! I always hated the album version and it is the reason I haven’t bought the album on vinyl  let’s hope the rerelease gives us the remix.

The original EY fits perfectly between the bombastic pop song LAP and the funk Love Song. It's the best of both worlds, I love the instrumentation, I mean it has that real LIVE vibe. The album version is 80s and only works within the album, while the single is 90s and a better version for commercial success.
