I also love to dance. Joan Baez has a dancing party every Saturday night on Zoom, which I’m so grateful to be invited to—there’s something beautiful about dancing with very down-to-earth people.

This is cute, imagine getting to be besties with all of your idols

Cocc might be her best title track.... :flame:

Yesssss :WAP:It really is tho! It's so hard to pick her best title track, because most of them are freaking amazing. BUT Cocc is otherworldly. It's definitely a top 4 imo.

1. Ultraviolence

2. BTD

3. Chemtrails

4. Lust For Life (IDC, this song is amazing & I will never get tired of saying it. It deserved to be a 10 week #1)

5. Honeymoon

6. Blue Banisters

7. Norman ******* Rockwell

Damn, look at that list! How can someone have such amazing title tracks! Like not one of those songs is bad. Even the the ones out of my top 5 are amazing.

My top 3 don't really change too much. But the rest can switch up depending on my mood. Lust For Life, HoneyMoon, Blue Banisters & NFR are all such amazing songs. HM, BB & NFR are the ones that switch up the most for me. I really can't choose between HM & BB. Those 2 songs are orgasmic

1. UV - BTD - COCC

2. LFL - HM - BB

3. NFR

That's my real list & top 3 heh :eli:

Video wise is a bit easier but hard to choose as well lol lettuce see

For sure Chemtrails is her best video for a title track, so let's start there

1. Chemtrails Over The Country Club

2. Born To Die

3. Lust For Life Ft. The Weeknd

4. UV

5. Blue Banisters

6. Norman ******* Rockwell

7. Honeymoon

Slightly off topic, but a few weeks ago I took an edible and went through her videography. I played Video Games then jumped straight into Chemtrails and was completely floored at the evolution  :jonny5:

Honeymoon is the best title track. It’s cinematic perfection and sets the tone for the album. The “dreaming away your life” outro just gives me chills everytime.

After that, I would go with Chemtrails, Born to Die, Ultraviolence, NFR (all strong), then Blue Banisters, and Lust for Life as the worst.

^ repugnant song I fear

OT:

title tracks:

BTD > HM > NFR! > UV > COCC > LFL > BB (I really like BB actually - which goes to show how fantastic her title tracks are; I just don't revisit BB much, since it . . belongs to that album).

We will not be praising that atrociously misplaced BTD throwback, not today, not today.

Should have been on LFL where it belonged.

Not everyone waiting on a track like Queen of Hearts just for it to turn out to be a shitty unfinished demo :rip:

The ex of my once big love, showed up as a visitor on my Grindr. It's been years, but I always get some sort of discomfort when I go back to that time in my mind.

Of course, Off To The Races started playing and I was like : hot damn, I was really living that **** of being in this crazy emotional rollercoaster with lots of different power dynamics back then.

And I would probably do it all over again. Blocked his ex, though

Crazy to me this and Fine China still never made it to release despite being on their last leg for basically every album since UV :deadbanana2:

Also, unpopular opinion - I LOVE the original version of SYTH that leaked with just strings and drum . . it's so gorgeous :weeps:

get ready for eyeliner ya'll.. coming in July

"and by pouring salt on closed wounds

or writing new tunes

I’d thought I’d shine a bit brighter

Than the constellation in your lonely sky

your sweet but sour Gemini

Would we take the trip with our children down to Anaheim?

when you know that I’m

only accessible in the summertime

Would I go down to the bar just to rest my elbows on the mahogany

Not entirely certain, I don’t know, yeah, probably

Beats sitting at home alone staring at your lame photography

There’s a ton of things I wish I could still do

Like dream of something else other than you

But some things are out of my control

It’s not like eyeliner where I could decide where it ends

How the line curves where it peaks where it bends

It outlines my emeralds and catches yours"

The way her manager is saying “new music incoming” and insiders haven’t teased a single thing. Has her team finally managed to keep the project under wraps?? Are we truly about to get our surprise drop??
