Drico Posted October 30 Posted October 30 The cinematic, almost theater-like experience is reminiscent of Gaga's The Fame Montser era and videos like "Alejandro" and "Bad Romance." It's an energy that will most certainly culminate in Gaga's seventh studio album which, per rumors, is a return to the artist's dance-heavy, dark pop sound. https://www.wmagazine.com/culture/lady-gaga-disease-music-video-lg7 The visuals, directed by Tanu Muino, offer the kind of over-the-top spectacle you'd expect from Gaga (the fashion! the commitment to theme!), but with a notably dark feel. https://www.elle.com/culture/music/a62754124/lady-gaga-disease-music-video-meaning/ 4
Archetype Posted October 30 Posted October 30 I'm proud of her for trying with this song. Yes it's not super GP friendly, but it's such a good song that it deserves to become a hit. At least we got an amazing video and it looks like she's finally doing some promo on socials. 6

We want her to be darring like this and ultimately this song and video are kinda statement songs imo. They arent made to be hits but moreso to introduce u to a new era and vision. The second single will likely be more digestable and more melodic. Disease is a little "tuneless" on purpose. It's almostl iek a brutalist pop track which is cool but deff wont work with the GP. I'm just happy she is executing her vision well this time around and seems to be well funded and supported so far! 7 minutes ago, Archetype said: I'm proud of her for trying with this song. hausofbryan Posted October 30 Posted October 30 How does autoplay work? How would Gaga get that on Spotify?

Plus, she's even doing both things. She'll have the GP's love for years with Shallow and DWAS, and she's keeping her fan's love with LG7. I do think she actually enjoys both, a multitalented fave 1

Disease really feels like a song for the fans and gets us excited for the era. I can see single #2 being more GP friendly and released closer to album release date. I LOVE Disease though. 1

Jack! Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Definitely can see Disease sticking around the top 10 in the UK for a couple of weeks. It's times like this when her team should be checking the demographics and getting relevant promo booked. Get her on Graham Norton again, see if she can snag Strictly, anything between now and the end of the year in the UK would be good, but the sooner the better to strike while the iron is hot. 1
