Aston Martin Posted October 30 Posted October 30 So 842k views in 4 hours. If you multiplied that number by 6 (to get 24 hours in a day), you'd end up with 5.052 million views in the 1st 24 hours. But tracking DWAS's first day on YT taught me that using that methodology results in over-predicting. So I'm going to cautiously predict a first day view count of 4-4.2 million and hope that I become pleasantly surprised. Being #1 on YT trending + the video being released so close to Halloween may very well play in her favor as the day progresses. And also don't expect the music video to have any effect on the song's next Spotify update; the video came out after the Spotify tracking day ended. 1

I think this MV/possibly entire era is a continuation of the themes of the Chromatica Ball, coming to grips with the fact that she spent a decade playing it safe and running away from herself in an attempt to heal herself, not realizing it was only making her more and more sick each time. She runs away from the darkness but ultimately the darkness is what literally gives her life, she can't escape it. The Gaga in the trench coat is the real her. She's picking up where she left us off in 2013 but in the most profound way imagineable, this goes so much deeper than just cosplaying as her old self. Oh wow this makes so much sense… you think the other mv's will also be self referential? maybe we are indeed in her selftitled album era 2
Infernal Paradise Posted October 30 Posted October 30 Tiny nitpick but why didn't they release either of the two nights (especially the second night) at Intuit Dome for DWAS? That performance is incredible and the slow dancing section would have generated more buzz. I hope she secures the #1, it's a shame it hasn't gone already.

amamoy Posted October 30 Posted October 30 This gif Spoiler Idk, I'm not feeling the video on my first watch. I love Gaga's putrid look in the black cape and the fact there's some overarching plot/world building, which I still don't quite get, but maybe it'll be explored more in future videos? It's intriguing. The following things are totally the case of my own expectations, but when listening I imagined a lot of choreo and fashion a la Judas and the video obviously serves none of that. The imagery is overall rather simplistic for what I'd like to have seen done with the song. I still love Disease the song though, and it's great now we have the video. Looks like multiple scenes from it might go viral. 1

BunnyIsARider Posted October 30 Posted October 30 (edited) Ok so now that the video is out, I can confidently say this is my lead single ranking Bad Romance Desease Born This Way Applause Just Dance Perfect Illusion Stupid Love Desease, BTW and Applause are really close but I'm giving the edge to Desease since I loved the song since the first listen, whereas the other two were more difficult to get into for me. Popular Post Summerboy95 Posted October 30 Popular Post Posted October 30 DWAS possibly going #1. Gaga releasing an acclaimed song and She's back visuals wise. It seems LG7 is going to be an amazing and acclaimed album. There's nothing else to complain. She listened and we should be thankful. 18 4
