The xmas freeze would have a weak impact on DWAS since it's already a classic and honestly fits adjacent to the XMAS theme. Disease? Very much not. They chose this exact date without shipping anyone Disease media with it like we thought. Next week could have worked because ABS would have been even weaker on radio compared to rn - while Disease gets all the attention. It doesn't bum me out they're seizing on DWAS - it makes me happy. It just bums me out that there is so little push for Disease too. At a certain point the MV can't lift the song back up on it's own, no matter how good… and again Bloody Mary tried to serve in November but by early december it got bonked off the charts so idk… just wtf 2

Some are still supporting her and label's decisions ("trust her") whike some arr saying that the roll outs for everything have been pure ****. Let's wait a few weeks to see which side was right. For now, being confused while trying to support her by streaming both songs hard at the same time ( ) and buying dwas hard but not knowing what are their actual promo plans is just.... eye-

I was dragged by several Liddos during the Chrom era for saying the same thing, but here we are again. Same ****, different album. She's not fighting to be relevant anymore, she thinks she can just drop music and peace out. I don't even blame Interscope, because we all know if it was up to them, she'd be promoting the single in Japan rn or something crazy. I am super excited for the MV and the album in general, but I gave up expecting anything reasonable from her a while ago. attention Posted October 29 Posted October 29 now that we're letting off some steam i just wanna say for the past decade plus that dark pop =/= greatness. yes it's exciting when she does her foray in dark themes but even since she debuted it wasn't all about that. she was a maximalist pop star with infectious bops like just dance, poker face, lovegame and brought attitude and ingenious imagery which was not limited to darkness. yes the turn during paparazzi to tfm to parts of BTW was the creme de la creme of her artistry but there was also the magic of her just being imaginative. colorful outfits, hair bow, disco stick, bubble dress, ipod glasses. artpop was sort of a glimpse of that but it didnt completely land. but yes it did take a different creative team to build that anyways disease is growing on me more. we love a buzz single 2 2

But Harlequin having a better rollout than Disease and forgetting Disease even existed promo wise to boost up a song that's gonna remain at the top 10 for months on end, while not even revealing itchy bichy details about your music video? That's bad. For her, for everyone involved in making that happen. You love that record and LG7, Gaga girl? Be excited. Making fake heartfelt and celebration insta posts to quell the critique for 1 day is not gonna cut it.
