Doctor Dick Posted October 28 Posted October 28 No but wtf. Disease is at its fourth day of release and so far the only promo from Gaga: - Disease post of song out + fan-made TikToks on her story - Post of saying how grateful she is about the reviews 1 1

I think it's something UMG does for most artists — Having both run by the artist page. why does this playlist feel like somebody asked an AI to make a Lady Gaga playlist? 1

Edu Posted October 28 Posted October 28 i hate to be that person but this whole mv debacle is starting to remind me of when the dwuw video was shelved it would be one thing if she hadn't posted a teaser last week but she did and there's still no release date in sight 2 1
FailSafe Posted October 28 Posted October 28 It is time y'all accept EL GEE SEVEN will receive the most minimal cycle of promo from any of her albums. It won't even have physicals 1

This feels too much like a déja vu. 3
PlERRE Posted October 28 Posted October 28 How long till liddos start asking the new choreographer when the video is going to be released?

It is such a no brainer and the fact that nobody does this for her music is a sign of just how incompetent her management is. you have to understand that at the end of the day all of that is her choice. they would not be allowed to post anything without her approval. she's not a helpless independent artist without resources, she has obviously made her choice in how the rollout should go and if that is good or not is absolutely debatable, but i've said it before and i'll say it again: STOP BLAMING HER MANAGEMENT. she is probably INSUFFERABLE to work with. like the things SHE HAS SAID PUBLICLY these past years are nuts. her producers had to drag her depressed ass out of bed to record chromatica, her fiancé had to remind her she's a recording artist and pop star just last year i feel so bad for bobby when i read the comments on his instagram. i'd rather kms than have her as my client because since day 1, and i'm a day 1 stan mind you, she's been giving her way or the highway tbh but all of that aside let's keep streaming and buying because somehow she keeps on giving quality so i'll always forgive her 5 1 2 1

Unless this is ARTPOP 2 and in a few months we get a bridge burning rant about how Bobby was forcing her on stage with a broken hip and pushing her to put out this album when she didn't want to, there's literally NO reason not to assume that the disappointing single release was anybody's idea except Gaga's. This whole situation is reminding me of the time that liddos were telling Sarah to literally KILL HERSELF over this makeup: Only to later find out that she was given 30 minutes by Gaga to do the entire thing from concept to walk out the door. A lot of this base needs to remember that the simplest answer is usually the correct one. What's more likely: Her team are gooning and edging at the haus of gaga all day instead of doing their jobs? or that they're doing the best they can and carrying out the tasks that they're instructed to do. Sheep Posted October 29 Posted October 29 (edited) 4 minutes ago, Edu said: a good mua would have said NO Sarah Tanno's job is to do whatever makeup work Gaga wants and she was given a ludicrous request. Nobody is going to quit their job over some unicorn makeup. She's actually fine at what she does and fairly influential in the world of celebrity makeup artists, whenever Gaga changes something about her standard glam makeup, half the industry immediately picks up on it and copies Sarah. The only real complaint that you could make about her is that her avant-garde looks leave a lot to be desired creatively, but again, that might be Gaga too. Edited October 29 by Sheep

Doctor Dick Posted October 29 Posted October 29 (edited) Little Managers, hear this out: The song was heavily aligned with riding the wave of JFAD which is why they didn't release it next year but the same month. And on top of that they had Halloween to further make the music video an event because of the date, not the overall holiday. Releasing a creepy video that could be released any other day as well on All Hallow's Eve is just a nice Easter Egg, if you will. However, after JFAD bombed they couldn't take it off the calendar because of contractional obligations and have to wait until Halloween to release the video. So in the mean time they're only left with what they currently have which is playlists and some radio. The initial roll-out was to debut big and then NOT have a big drop by releasing the video and adding more promo. And it's still the case. But this time with a much lower debut (Top 25 on Hot 100). If they work closely with Spotify the new music video option on the service is perfect to premiere the video in (or at least push it to further the song's streams since every view on the platform will be a stream). So the scenario could be: #25-#12 in the next two weeks or even higher if the song goes viral. Instead of their initial plan which was Top 10 debut and then #1 the second week it could be Top 25 debut and Top 10 second week. Edited October 29 by Doctor Dick 1 2

Again, we've completely lost the plot
FailSafe Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Did anyone try the chicken? I thought the Chicken was lovely 5
Sheep Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Also the yes men accusations are obnoxious when between FAD, Harlequin, DWAS, Disease, and editing TCB herself, Gaga is pushing herself more as an artist in this moment than she has at any other point in her career. Where's the complacency in her trying this hard? 4
