gab00 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I don't know how big is AM in Germany but she's #13 there and no other pop song is above it besides *wait for it* DWAS. Such a huge market often overseen in ATRL as pop stars, specially americans, don't usually do well there... 3
Universo Posted October 26 Posted October 26 keep rising Disease also 5 = Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars - Die With A Smile (Official Music Video) 4,863,023 8

It was already doing great but APT really pushed it over the edge. I definitely see it joining her 1B club within the next 1-2 years (probably 2025 tbh) 7
Denim Posted October 26 Posted October 26 The fact that disease is still gaining on Apple Music proves what we've seen— the word of mouth is great on this. The reception has been nothing but positive. It feels so much more fun to get behind an era when it's actually a really good song we all love 10

I've said it before, but getting two songs as massive as DWAS and Shallow (and ARUTW tbh) after your mainstream career has passed the 10 year mark is insane. 8
Denim Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Because of how well received Disease is, it'll probably be REAL reactive to promo. whether that's a viral TikTok trend, dance, the music video, or if they have any fun promo set up in the coming weeks… I think it has potential to explode. 2

We don't really know really because the streaming market shifted MAJORLY this year in Germany. Amazon used to be second biggest here, with like 20% market share, but they crashed out. Apple Music might be the second biggest streaming service this year, it used to be the third.
Denim Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Gaga needs to drop the visuals tho. That will probably light a fire under the song and help push it on tiktok, especially if the choreo is sickening. one of the reasons Judas initially blew up on TikTok was because of fans recreating the music video choreo went viral. One of the reasons DWAS blew up was because of people recreating the looks in the MV and the funny Gaga dance. That's not what all these millions of TikTok's are about NOW, BUT, you need SOMETHING to get the song out there and get people to push the song out 6

Aston Martin Posted October 26 Posted October 26 On TOTC's Biggest Global Chart Hits of the 2020s list, DWAS has moved up to #80 with a 600 point increase. If it increases by another 600 points (which it has been doing for a few weeks now), then its next update would put it around 67-68. 80. Die with a Smile: 5,200 (+600) 1

Honestly idrc about promo and all that (i stan FLOPS mostly) but doing the minimum wouldnt hurt lol 1

SO TRUE. + rain on me & Bloody Mary as "mid-range" hits. Also, wasn't Bloody Mary the most consumed user-generated streaming song of 2023? sure that doesn't translate to chart success, but if you truly measure how popular a song is, Bloody Mary was actually freaking massive and so many people know it like they know a top 10 smash hit. which can be deceiving based on its chart performance 3

Her catalogue also does well (she usually has 6 songs in the top 500 most daily viewed for English artists. Most of her peers do not).
