Namiskine Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I'm sorry but seeing some people in this very thread starting to criticise its numbers while saying they've not streamed it today/they won't stream it anymore before Gaga starts moving is really serving mental disease 2 11

Dear Reader Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Ignore the OGH, they'd be hating on her even if she debuted with 7M coming up with lame excuses like monthly listeners (that only matters when it's convenient). Just enjoy the music 2 10

Okay I actually think the debut numbers are quite solid, but I'll definitely set the expectation that it will fall below 2M by Thanksgiving if not sooner… I hope I'm wrong tho

hausofbryan Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Disease had a debut on par with other megastars in 2024. That's not something to let OGHs get in your head about. What is fair, as a fan, is to be bummed by her silence. But that's separate to charts. 5
Anthinos Posted October 26 Posted October 26 I trust her, I just hate waiting. I want the new era to finally start properly with the music video, interviews, performances etc.
hausofbryan Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Alright, yall. Time out. Don't start speculating on Gaga's engagement in a negative way. That's not really healthy and fair to her. I get folks are worked up, but let's treat her with decency. 9 6 1

We spend entire past 4 years trashing stupid love, calling it flop, terrible and everything yet this one did worse than that with 4 years of streaming growth. US #s not even kidding very disappointing. stupid love was released after asib which gave to her an insane exposure and she was interacting with us and hyping up a lot back then. also it came with a mv (a bad mv but still promo). how on earth debut in line with her duet with bruno mars and beyoncé's lastest lead is bad? 4m is very solid start. we just need longevity.

Denim Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Yeah… don't get too in your head folks. It's okay be REALISTIC but we shouldn't be overwhelmingly pessimistic. The song is good, well received by critics and listeners, debuted very solidly and the album is shaping up to be exactly what so many of the base wanted. is this going to be a hit? Well, we're only 32 hours in and charts have become increasingly unpredictable. So who knows. Being realistic here— no. don't think it will be a hit. But who cares? It doesn't sound like the song was designed to be a smash hit anyways, if it was then sure we could be upset. But I think DWAS is the song geared to be the hit 2

brooks Posted October 26 Posted October 26 the single has been out for 2 days and yalll already speculating about backstage drama and a sudden breakup? time to log off. at the the of the day, we have a great song and the album is going to be even better. keep streamming 3
Kiel D-01 Posted October 26 Posted October 26 (edited) I was just about to celebrate the single here but y'all literally melting down over it. Y'all need to really start ignoring the OGHs. Edited October 26 by Kiel D-01 7
Denim Posted October 26 Posted October 26 The only thing I could think of is 1. This was always the plan 2. No one could've predicted how bad the JFAD reception would be and maybe she just isn't feeling the media right now with how much negativity was sent her way this past month. If this is the case, I think that's totally fair I don't really like to speculate for things we don't know, especially because Gaga has become increasingly private, but I do find this silence a stark shift from how excited and talkative she was about music just 3-4 weeks ago
