Cirkut and Watt did a great job but I wonder how this would have sounded produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross

Halsey's last album is a good sampler of their modern approach to different rock genres. Regardless of what you think of her the production is amazing.

The song is obviously mostly getting praised

But it baffles me that a minority is claiming the song is generic - like I get it not being your cup of tea/not liking the melody since it's subjective - but HOW is this generic for a pop single? the instrumental goes hard and Gaga's vocal performance is batshit crazy and literally no one else could pull it off.

I am convinced those people want her to scream into a microphone for 3 minutes so they can listen to it and call her new Bjork or Yoko Ono and say that it's something so revolutionary..

This IS experimental and unconventional for a MAIN pop female artist nowadays.. And that is a fact.. People just want to be so unique with their "intellectual" spins..

This is anything but generic, just the vocals alone are very different from whats popular (or whats been popular ever), matter fact I feel like it is not really radio friendly. It is classicGa tho.

This is what I appreciate the most about the song. No matter how it performs, nobody else could make it. It was time for her to re-carve her lane in pop.

You're so tortured when you sleep
Plagued with all your memories
You reach out, and no one's there
Like a god without a prayer

The most annoying people on earth are liking this song and I fear Anthony Ratano might stan

See what happens when she keeps Bloodpop away?

No more annoying intros see Stupid Love and Hold My Hand.

This production is so harsh, i love it.

I cant wait to orgasm album deep cuts when she go all out with those.

If Anthony likes it a lot it will be A LOT of promo. The "indie" guys will stream it without shame of showing on their Year-End Charts on Spotify

yeah it's really good, i do wish it had a sick instrumental break down in the bridge, but it's obvs the lead pop radio single so it makes sense that it's a little more contained. more room for madness on the album tracks hopefully :gaycatina1:
