I'm getting Middle Eastern, or Ancient Egypt vibes from Disease. The pre-chorus, the « lay you down like 1,2,3 eyes roll back like extasy » and the « ahhhhhhh ahhhhh » parts especially. :WAP:

If they don't release the video today it will be one of the biggest stupidities of their team in a long time

Can't function without melting down. Here I thought everyone was still gonna be discussing how happy we are with the song but noo you all are just complaining about strategies about a song that came out a few HOURS ago…

complain after a few days at least

She posted the music video teaser with 25/10 date, I'd assume it's coming today, probably at noon

You don't know the full plans, it's just been a few hours.

if anything in the streaming age releasing everything at once is the bad strategy

Yeah, the MV is definitely coming today. There's no way it's not. Maybe she wanted the whole world to be awake to release it cause it's just too good?

I just need that video for the full experience, because it is a tad underwhelming for me. Chorus is weak.

Lmfao the meltdowns were so predictable. It hasn't even been 12 hours and people are already declaring the era dead :ahh:

Lady Gaga is back in grand style with "Disease," the new single that teases her upcoming album, LG7. It's a perfect synthesis of her career, a return to her roots. "Disease" doesn't echo the sounds of her previous lead singles, but instead, it perfectly captures the interpretation and lyrics that have defined every one of her projects.

What truly sets Lady Gaga apart on her path through pop is her theatricality. While each era has introduced audiences to different alter egos and distinct stories, Disease seems to hint that LG7 will unite all the experience Gaga has accumulated, through both triumphs and wounds. Lady Gaga isn't interested in staying in a comfort zone.

With "Disease," she brings back the decadent glamour of her past. The performance is fierce and dark, with clear nods to the glamour of The Fame Monster and Born This Way. Her vocals have a rock edge, layered over a production by Cirkut that leans into industrial electronic sounds. The lyrics speak to raw suffering and the need to face one's weaknesses, urging listeners to let go in a euphoric dance, unleashing that inner obsession over pounding synths and heavy kicks. The bridge intensifies, blending a sharp self-analysis with the psychotic release of the final chorus—a more mature take on the concept she introduced in Bad Romance.

Lady Gaga's seventh studio album is set to release in February 2025, and while we don't yet know what alter ego she'll embody this time, "Disease" seems to open a new, even darker chapter than anything she's done before.
