Metacritic is sick for uploading the worst reviews first

In Joker: Folie à Deux, Lady Gaga enters the scene with the famous gesture of a gun to the head, the same one Travis Bickle made in Taxi Driver, and which Joker (2019) replicated in its Scorsese-inspired homage. By the end of the film, it feels like Todd Phillips himself is also making that gesture. The musical aspect feels weakened, and Lady Gaga's presence often seems unjustified, losing all meaning. It's a terrible waste of talent (in fact, one of the challenges is keeping her in the scene, with various forced plot twists).

 

 

 

 

Well, they are only saying good things about her. So that's... good?

If Michelle Williams can be nominated for leading actress for The Fabelmens I'm sure that Gaga will too for JFAD when she is one of the two main focal points of the movie and her character is even referenced in the movie's title.
