GipJo Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Coldplay is #21, yesterday Coldplay has 21.6m, Gaga has 19.3m. So Gaga increased 2.3m, I think it's at least 1.8m growth for DWAS, which means ~8.9m, if we're lucky might break 9m. Might not take over Billie since she would increase too but will be very close. 2

She might really be coming for WW #1 today Sorry but Paper Gangsta increased its streams exponentially yesterday. Has nothing to do with DWAS, which will remain stable, which is a very shaky sign. 3
Canonical Ensembl Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Playlist reach rises to 179M in spite of being removed from New Music Friday series. 3 1
Freaky Prince Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I really hope this success translates into LG7 singles. We are not used to tgese steady climbs from her pop songs lately, but since Chromatica her music has grown so much on TikTok and they embraced her "weird" music, hopefully they are here for the new one and not just her old ones. 6

Hate to rain on the parade but Top Artists is compiled based on filtered streams. What you're looking at are the raw, unfiltered streams count from yesterday. It's difficult to draw conclusions like that since every artist has different filter rates. Expect 8M+, anything more is nice. 9M is not happening, at least not today. 1

Popular Post Nicholai Posted August 23 Popular Post Posted August 23 Gaga was broke. Nasty. LG7 shipped back. Richy seizure-dancing in the floor. Freddie fried her hair. She came on this ***** MAD AS HELL. 21
aesthetic bih Posted August 23 Posted August 23 9M and hopefully #1 on Spotify Global today. Since I feel like tomorrow Sabrina will get the #1! I'm shaking in anxiety y'all!! Just shake and nod, sistrens! 2
kwek_kwek Posted August 23 Posted August 23 I was expecting DWAS to slow down because of the update yesterday but miss DWAS said no uh-uh 1
BunnyIsARider Posted August 23 Posted August 23 What's her biggest single day streams for a song? ROM with 10.2M? When DWAS breaks that record then what 1

opbranden Posted August 23 Posted August 23 With these numbers, if her team is smart, LG7 should be coming out soon. October would be perfect.

kwek_kwek Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Top songs update within an hour. Unless Gar broke their servers.

But when artist manage to get a #1 smash 10+ years after their first, they've basically proven that they have staying power both in the music industry and just as an A-list celebrity overall. Even if their success afterwards isn't much to write home about, they'll always be seen as an A-list musician. So with Shallow hitting #1 in 2019 (around 10 years after Just Dance did) and then Rain on Me hitting #1 the year after, I knew she'd accomplished enough to always be seen as an a-lister in the music world. The sold-out Chromatica Ball stadium tour, strong recurrents, consistent platinum solo albums, and general cultural relevance proved as much. And she has an acting career that is both critically acclaimed and commercially successful too (which is becoming rare even amongst full time Hollywood actors/actresses). But getting an out-of-the-gate SMASH like this when she's 16ish years into her career just proves that she's a legend regardless of what any braindead OGH has to say about it. She's stuck around for this long. She's faced some personal and professional obstacles and overcame them with a brilliant career reinvention. The fact that she has the cultural cachet to pull in collabs with Bruno, Ariana, and the Rolling Stones says it all, as does the fact that many other successful entertainers (in both the music and acting realms) would love to work with her. And even though this isn't the Bruno base and I've never been a stan of his, the fact that's he's also smashing while having been in the industry for around the same time as Gaga speaks to his talent and longevity as well. It says a lot that he asked her of all people to visit him in the studio instead of some of her "peers" (and I use that term very loosely here). Edited August 23 by Aston Martin spelling 8 4
bitchfit Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Her having a big smash album would be much bigger than another smash single with LG7.
